    • Did I read that description right?
I thought it said in the product description that it held 8 cups of coffee. IT DOESN’T! It is very small and probably only holds 6 cups, or 3-4 smaller mugs. This is a high quality carafe and nicely insulated, but don’t think it is going to hold much volume!

    • Very expensive for what it is
Don't get me wrong, it's a fine double-walled insulated pot that holds 8 Miele-sized "cups" (so 4 regular human mugs). It's a basic functional design - a stainless steel jug with a black plastic rim and lid. The handle is plastic and attached to the rim with a little stainless steel trim for aesthetics, which is good because it doesn't transfer the heat but does mean you need a very steep pouring angle to get any coffee out. The slider on the lid, once warm, slides comfortably and securely with a reassuring click at either end. The lid itself can be twisted off for easy cleaning. But be warned, this is not dishwasher safe. And in an unusual design fail from Miele this doesn't quite fit on the drip tray of the machine. That's not to say it's going to fall off, but about a quarter of the pot sticks out. Really quite unsure why this doesn't ship as standard with the machines and needs to be purchased as an accessory. I would say, as with all Miele products, "reassuringly expensive" but for something Made In China that Amazon shipped in it's single walled unsealed retail box with a shipping label smacked on the side, spectacularly underwhelming on it's presentation. ... show more

This is basically as advertised but in my opinion an overpriced option. My version (6/2020) does have a screw on thick plastic lid that fits under our built-in machine. I'm not a fan that it hangs over the side as mentally I always think it will fall but it doesn't. In coffee pot mode I can choose 1-8 cups which is basically 40oz of coffee. It does not hold coffee warm for long as the spout,even if the lid is closed, is still open. ... show more

    • Nice looking but needs tweeks.
Nice carafe for my Miele 6350 but wish the top screwed on and off rather than snapped on and off. Also wish it fit under the machine a little further. Other than that it seems well built and looks nice.

    • Overpriced quality coffee carafe
While the stainless steel carafe was of good quality and design, I feel it was still exorbitantly overpriced.
