I'm using this double voltmeter in a UTV that has two batteries so I can keep track of their charge/voltage. The UTV's meter will only give a voltage for the primary battery because I'm using a battery isolator for the second battery. I checked the voltage readings with three other volt meters. Both of the meter's displays showed the same voltage from my other meters. If the meter is hooked directly to the batteries and a permanent ground, both displays will stay on with power/engine off, which will slowly drain the batteries. I have a relay installed for the ground of the meter that only closes with power on/engine running. I have the red display color which is easy to read day or night. The voltage meter is working well at install time and fit a vacant smaller rectangular spot in the dash. Time will tell how long this meter lasts and reads correctly. ... show more

Okay, When this arrived it was looking like a bunch of spare parts someone tossed in a box, definitely damaged in shipping! But once I put it all back together... works great! Voltage reading is a little off but serves it's purpose. Bright display, I'd suggest switching the ground with a relay, it tends to draw while your away. ... show more

arrived fast. well packaged. i installed a dual battery kit in a utv as well as this. easily made a wiring harness, connected it up to the batteries and it works great. no trouble seeing each battery's voltage in daylight and looks good either day or night. happy with purchase. edit: meter has been installed 10 days. it draws amperage and will drain your battery over time if not recharged. to address this install an on/off switch to cut power to it's main +lead. if installed in a regularly used vehicle you might not notice the constant power consumption, but if installed in a vehicle that sits for periods of time this item will drain your battery completely down at presently measured consumption rates after 10 days of usage. measuring actual power consumption was my concern after realizing it had no built in off switch. this item would be a more complete kit if it included parts to create a wiring harness, and if the meter was an actual rocker switch that allowed you to turn it off. i still give it 5 stars because if you're into something like this then you most likely already know how to make a wiring harness, and you likely already know if you connect a constant draw to a battery you'll end up with a dead battery over time. the meter it's self overall it works very well. ... show more

Fit right into a blank switch spot on my 05 Tacoma, been working for about 2 months now, however reading is slightly inaccurate, reads 0.2V lower than actual, confirmed with a multimeter. You only get the voltmeter in package nothing else, so supply your own 16awg wire and fuse tap to prevent battery drain. ... show more

The device does what it is supposed to do, monitor line voltage on two battery systems in my vehicle. It would have got the full 5 stars had there not been one big issue, visibility, the digits are very dim and in full daylight can't be read unless I place my hand over the meter and shield it and even then I have to bend over and get up near to it to read the values.
