abunda_amazon_reviews The Surface Go by itself is a great tablet but when you add the keyboard it just becomes a million times better. I love it!;;Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Love it;;Hector Torres;;;I did not get a Type Cover when I bought my Surface Go, because I was concerned about the price, somewhat, and then also I wanted to try a folding Bluetooth keyboard instead. Amazon's discount on this vs. the list price (the Silver one for $80 instead of $130) was somewhat offset by the mistake of buying the folding keyboard, but I am so glad I did get the Type cover. The fabric is nice, and so far it does seem reasonably stain resistant. It is luxurious to the touch, somewhere in between suede, felt, and microfiber. The weight is nice, the keyboard is excellent with only a tiny amount of flex, and the trackpad is also excellent. The one minor design flaw is that it does not quite flip around (so that you can flip it back for tablet mode and have the keys concealed on the inside) - the dock on the Surface Go is just slightly asymmetric. It is close enough that you can basically do this, though. Overall, I strongly recommend this, it really ups the ante with the Surface Go and pushes it much closer to being a full replacement for my very good 13" notebook. Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention - the backlight has multiple levels (it cycles through them with the key) and I am also particularly impressed that the Fn key has a lock with a LED indicator - you can change the mode of the function keys from F1-12 to the brightness/volume/etc controls (and Fn-Fx does the other one) directly from the keyboard, for instance if you need to be able to do a one-handed Alt-F4.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Corrected my mistake;;Mira Krishnan;;;As my headline states, if you're going to buy the surface Go or any Surface tablet don't skimp on getting the keyboard. Windows is a great Operating system very versatile but it is not optimized for tablet usability. Even when you enable tablet mode you'll realize at some point you'll want to use the standard windows desktop layout and the keyboard and tracker is a must then. Writing email, a paper, or just search the web the surface keyboard is a must have!;;Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Don't get a surface without this;;Blackmayza;;;Even with a surface pen I had issues with my Go when it came to precision clicks and some software issues with the virtual keyboard not always popping up when I expected it to. With a type cover I actually can take the Go with me on short trips to lighten my bag so I don't need to bring a full laptop. The alcantara material is extremely pleasant to rest my wrists on while typing or using the trackpad. Speaking of typing, the keyboards is compressed or 'Smooshed' together but after about ten minutes each time I transition from a full size keyboard to this I adapt and can type at my usual speed. There are two issues I have with this type cover. One small issue and one bigger one. The small issue is that the function keys are defaulted to functions like play/ pause/ brightness up/ down/ fast forward and to get the usual function key shortcuts I am used to, I have to tap the Fn key which makes a bright dot light show up on the keyboard and its distracting to me while using the type cover. The other issue is that if you don't immediately connect the type cover after unboxing it, or if you ever take the cover off and the contacts that connect it to the Go tablet ever brush against anything, You Must clean it with a spray and a micro fiber cloth or it won't connect to the tablet. The contacts are extremely sensitive to any amount of debris or oil and I thought I had a malfunctioning product because it wasn't working and it took me a while to find out what the issue was.;;Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2019;;3.0 out of 5 stars;;Makes the Surface Go from a tablet with pc capabilities to a true hybrid.;;A;;;My mom got me the Surface Go and decided to get the cover/keyboard. It is comfortable to type on and is even easy to see in the dark since it lights up around the keys. The cover has a nice texture and connects immediately with the surface go without having to wait or connect with Bluetooth. Since I eat while using the tablet/keyboard I occasionally have to pull the keyboard "out" from where it magnetically sits to clear out crumbs, but overall I am definitely pleased with this keyboard.;;Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Works well and easy to use.;;Andrea Moon;;;There's nothing major to dislike about the Alcantara cover, it is an overall great cover and keyboard combo and you should get it to complete the look of your new Surface Go. The cover material on the out-facing side feels really good on the hands, similarly for the keyboard side but not as good as the out-facing side. The keyboard feels nice to type on, there is little key travel and for a tiny keyboard it feels surprisingly comfortable to type. You do get a bit thrown off from time to time since the layout is packed tight but you get used to it very quickly. There are three levels of backlight brightness for the keyboard and is bright during the daytime and in dim environments. It attaches quite strongly to the Surface Go magnetically so be careful not to yank it out too hard. My nitpick for the keyboard is that the arrow keys are not great but sacrifices had to be made. The mouse pad is small so you will want a mouse alongside the Surface Go. I think it would feel nicer if it was magnetic at the lip as well since it opens like a door that's ajar. Well worth the purchase, especially if you want to spoil yourself.;;Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;The perfect premium keyboard cover for the Surface Go;;Syafiq;;;It's not worth the actual price, the quality it's really nice but also fragile unless you take of it at all cost. Besides that being the only weak point in my opinion the simple fact that it's so nice looking makes me be willing to pay for this keyboard. It's just such a nice combination to the surface Go when you get a burgundy case for it so it's not gray but burgundy too like the type cover. It looks even better when you add the pen to the side of the tablet while the type cover it's closed. It looks so good that I can see why it's over priced.;;Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2019;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;You want it, you deserve it, but you don't need it.;;Ramses Marin;;;So I don't have the largest hands, and I do find it really easy to use. It's not as cramped as I expected. In fact, I don't find it cramped at all typing with it. I wasn't sure if I wanted to save the money and just get the black one, but I did end up getting the blue with alcantara fabric and was very happy with my choice. It might not be huge difference, but I definitely notice it. I also like it that it acts as the cover for the Surface Go.;;Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Even better than I expected.;;CoTzu
