I previously purchased the non-fabric cooling mats, and I will never go back to those! When I stored them for the winter they were permanently changed - the inside material shifted, some spots are lumpy and thick while others have nothing, completely flat. I only used them for one summer and now they are unusable in my opinion. I am so happy I found this product, and wish I had found it first. It's soft, always cool too the touch and more resilient. I am happy to fold and store this item without it being ruined. I love that it is washing machine safe (I always air dry it). It is thin so it's great for putting on a dog bed or on the couch, but my dogs still lay on it if it's on the tile floor. I would highly recommend this product for your hot dogs! ... show more

It arrived quickly. It definitely feels cool to the touch. It's thin and light. My boy seems to like it but as you can see he's not laying on it per se. Mostly he's pouncing on it and rolling it in a ball. I had him lay in it so you could see the size. He's 108 lbs and it's not as big as i thought it would be. It's supposed to be an XL but I'm not sure. I didn't measure it but if he stretched out only his body would be on it, legs and head would hang off. My only issue is I bought it to sit on an area of hard wood by an AC vent to protect the floor and where he likes to lay to keep cool, but it's so slippery he falls over if he steps on it because it slides. I'm going to try a floor grip mat underneath. Overall I would recommend it for its purpose... to cool them off. My dog is just a goof! 😅 ... show more

I ordered this item, the next day I tried to cancel because I found something different. They said they had shipped it already and couldn’t cancel it. I thought, Ok that’s fine. I was supposed to get it about 2-3 days later after it was supposedly “shipped”. But didn’t get it for TEN days! Ridiculous! Then, to top it off, it’s very thin, very light, and small. It’s basically two thin pieces of material sewn together. Very cheap! Not worth the money!! ... show more

I needed to cool my very hot chow chow this summer. He has been panting like he is dying to the point where my husband seriously thought we needed to take him to the vet to get tested. I decided to just implement some cooking measures first and I'm happy to say it has worked. This cooling mat and a dedicated fan has helped reduce his panting significantly. He likes to lay on it on top of our hardwood floors. It doesn't have much padding but chows usually prefer the cold floor to dog beds anyway. My other dog who refuses to have his butt ever touch hardwood floors also uses this to sit on and has deemed it worthy enough for his tush to touch. Not exactly something you could use on the ground outside or anything. It's pretty flimsy. It's not bad, however, to be used as a top layer on top of a dog bed or something. When my dog sleeps on it for the night, however, it doesn't stay flat in one place, due to the flimsy nature of the layer. If I would have known how flimsy it was, I probably wouldn't have purchased it for the price. It's worth about half the price. ... show more

My pup is soo picky when it comes to beds he just likes to lay on my clothes or in the bed with me. But I actually caught him cozy on it the same day I got it! I’m planning to go to Palm Springs and there will be a high of 105 so we’ll see if he continues to take advantage of the coolness.
