Unfortunately, I'm a smoker, which means I inevitably smoke 2-3 cigarettes in my car on an average day, if not more. I have a relatively new 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe and, even though I have leather seats, over time, this has given my brand new car a musk of cigarette smoke. I bought this plug in after looking up true, larger, and more expensive ozone machines, as well as a bunch of chemical, bleach based car bombs that were kind of grossing me out. This seemed too good to be true, an ozone machine that just plugged into your car outlet? Well...it works!!! And as a smoker, I know it's more difficult for me to pick up on the smell of smoke in my car, so the true test is when I have other people get in. One of my coworkers recently hopped in my car after I'd run the plug-in through a cycle that morning and said "man, I love the smell of a new car", and I asked her "do you smell any smoke?" and she said "wait, you're a smoker?!". Best reaction I could have hoped for! Lol. One thing I will say is kind of a downside is that you have to figure out how to keep your car on, unless you have an older car. Most cars on the newer side of things don't run power to the outlets when the car is turned off. The manufacturer has instructions in the listing here on Amazon, as well as in the instructions that come with the device, on how to remove a fuse in the vehicle's fusebox to bypass this, but I don't want to do all of that. In my experience, once you start messing with a car like this, it's all downhill from there. Fortunately for me, my SUV will run power to the outlets in ACC mode, aka by turning the key halfway or pushing the start button without your foot on the break. You'll see your radio and lights turn on, but the engine won't turn over. After that, I simply plug in the device, turn off my headlights, radio, and bluetooth, walk away for 20 minutes, then come back and turn off the car. Works like a charm! In addition, the little green light in my machine wouldn't come on, but I could hear it start up and smell the ozone. I reached out to the manufacturer to make sure that this was okay and, without me asking, they just went ahead and sent me a new one! I've had this thing for about 7-8 months now, which is amazing customer service. No hassle or anything, just said "oh, it stopped turning on but still works? Well, here's a new one." My SUV has 2 outlets, one in the infotainment area and another in the trunk, so I run both for double the effectiveness now! 1,000% recommend you buy this thing! Pro Tip Continued... It's important to remember Ozone can only do so much. It impacts air born particles, so if you don't eliminate the physical source of the smell in your vehicle, you're not going to feel like this is effective. For example, with smoking, you're inevitably going to find ash all over your car, regardless of how careful you are to ash out of the window. So, this is most effective when I vacuum the car, floors, seats, under the seats, back window, and, if you want to get real fancy, the headliner as well. I also wipe all of the non-porous surfaces down to remove dust there. Finally, clean the inside of your windows. Smoke leaves a film on glass that you can't see until after months and months of smoking, where it'll haze up. After all of the physical contaminants have been removed, close everything up and run the device and it'll work like a charm to blast away the smoke smell. I also make sure to expose the interior cover of my sun roof and I keep the cooled seats running while putting the device through a cycle. My theory here is that the cloth on the sunroof cover and the porous leather in the cooled seats get exposed to ozone, and it seems to work perfectly. I know this all sounds like a lot of work, but it's really not. It's just checking all of the boxes. Quite frankly, I don't do this every time, really only when I know I'll have people, like my boss or my parents, in my car.

I have a ozone generator in my house I use daily over night and this 12v device certainly produces ozone when it’s plugged in, I’ve had some pretty potent smelling meals in my vehicle and I just plug this device in for 20 mins when I’m done using the truck and take it out after, when I come in the truck the next morning there is NO BAD SMELL at all from the day before. I think it works pretty well. It feels durable enough to drop a few times and defiantly worth the money for slip seating truck drivers.

I've been using this now for a few weeks. It does well at getting rid of food and animal odors, though there is a distinct ozone-y odor left behind. Complaints : it takes up the cigarette lighter/power port and does not include USB ports to replace that port. Also, it does not stay in the port. It works itself loose a few times on a 50 mile trip AND if left overnight. Every time I get in the truck, I need to remove and reseat the unit.

I am a smoker and I have fabric seats in my car. I ran two 20 minute rounds of this and was truly impressed. My car is a Ford Flex, so it’s fairly large. I opened the door after I ran it for the first time and it worked great, but for good measure I ran it for a second time. I like that it runs for 20 minutes and turns off, that’s a bonus. I’m hoping I’ll get at least a year out of it, as I plan on running it weekly. It also came with legible instructions!
