If you're used to using a regular electric trimmer, there is a bit of a learning curve with the Titanium Trim. As a body hair trimmer, it works great and the side layout and extension is an excellent design for that purpose. However, when I use it for my beard, it's a bit frustrating. First, the led light generates a shadow that makes it hard to accurately see where the blade meets the beard line. Since there is no way to turn off the led light, I eventually wound up covering it with black electrical tape. Fortunately, the TT gives a very close shave. Much closer than my old Remington trimmer. I was a bit disappointed with the attachments. They seem to be geared more towards head hair and not beards. There is no #1, #2, #3 attachments so if you use 2 sizes to trim a short beard, your only options are the sensitive body hair and the shortest head hair attachments. The short head hair attachment "sort of" works if you angle it correctly, but it's not accurate. Only four stars for no beard attachments and a light you can't turn off.

I've only used this a few times, but it definitely helps you reach the tough spots like the back of the head. It's excellent for trimming using just the clippers with no attachments, but I had some trouble using the attachments. First, they aren't labeled, so it's tough to compare them to regular clipper attachments (like no. 3 or no. 4 etc.). Second, my using them to cut my hair means I basically can use only one hand if I'm using bathroom sink mirrors since I have to lean backwards for a good view and I need my other hand to support myself against the counter. So when clipping my hair it's hard to get it to make good contact with the trimmer under the attachment. The hair tends to float on top of the attachment and not go through the slots and against the cutting portion of the tool. Using the attachments resulted in my hair being very short where the trimmer touches the head and to cut the hair longer where it met the attachment. That tends to make the hair very short, maybe shorter than you wanted, near the hair line and places nearer the hair line. I'm still learning how this thing works, so I will probably get better results as I figure it out. It's very easy to trim near the hair line, but it's hard to trim hair to the exact length you want away from the hairline. Overall, it works well - certainly better than using just scissors like I had been doing. But I wish the manual gave suggestions and pictures on how to use it with the attachments. The built in light went out, but it doesn't help you see better anyway, so that wasn't a problem.

i just received this item today and i was a little cautious because i wasn't sure if it would do the job like advertised...but let me tell you this, the trimmer absolutely 100 percent did the job perfectly...im 53 yrs. old and i don't have much hair left (except the sides and back) so i just needed a light trim to freshen up everything. there is no risk of taking too much off because of the guards that come shipped with this trimmer, this was my greatest concern. i figure about once a month i will trim everything with no further need to pay a barber to cut my hair once a year. i can't believe i didn't discover this trimmer earlier.

The trimmer is GREAT! However the cheap "TURBOCell Batteries" are JUNK! After using the trimmer about 6 times during the past year, I just attempted to use after 2 months of non-use and the unit would not work. I opened the battery compartment and the batteries have leaked and corroded inside the battery compartment. I cleaned and dried the trimmer, replaced with new batteries and STILL NO WORK. Oh well, let's see what the supplier customer service will suggest. RECOMMENDATION: Immediately replace original batteries with quality AA cell batteries BEFORE the damage is done.

Easy to use like a comb. Use the comb attachments that range from a tight razor guard to various lengths to go from short to long to sculpt your hair the way you want. Lithium batteries last for well over a week of daily use. The handle extension allows for easier manipulation behind your head. A built in light allows you to see better when using the razor without a guard for more intricate edge trimming.
