Description

Do you know microSDXC card? 1. What is a microSDXC card? There are 3 main types in the micro SD memory card family. microSD(128MB to 2GB, Default Format: FAT16), microSD High Capacity (microSDHC, 4GB to 32GB, Default Format: FAT32), and microSD Extended Capacity (microSDXC, 64GB to 2TB, Default Format: exFAT). 2. Why is my read/write speed slower than what is specified on the product page? The specified read & write speeds are based on internal tests. Actual speeds may vary depending upon host device, interface, usage conditions and other factors. 3. Why is the actual user storage less than what is specified on the product page? All storage products typically contain 8~10% less space than what is specified on the product page/package. The discrepancy results are from 2 factors: 1. The different ways of calculating megabyte. Flash memory and hard drive manufacturers calculate in 1GB=1000,000,000 bytes, while this system uses the binary calculation, 1GB= 1,073,741,824 bytes. 2. Partial memory capacity reserved for firmware and bad block exchange greatly enhance product performance and extends service life. 4. Why can't my device read the card? Before purchasing a microSDXC card, you should know more about your device. (1)Does it support microSDXC card? microSDXC memory cards can ONLY be used with microSDXC host devices. Look for the SDXC logo on host devices to ensure compatibility. (2)What is the max support capacity? If your device can only take up to 32GB microSD card, we suggest you consider our C10 U1 microSDHC card, search "Micro Center micro sd card" or "B07K81Z6DF" in the Search Bar. (3) What is the support format? According to SD Associate standard, microSDXC card(64GB and above) has default format exFAT, microSDHC/microSD (32GB and below) has default format FAT32 or FAT. Some of the host devices such as dash cam may only support FAT32. In this case, you may need a 3rd party software to complete the formatting from exFAT to FAT32 by computer usb3.0 port. Windows OS can only format those with no more than 32GB to FAT32. 5. For Raspberry Pi User The Raspberry Pi's bootloader is built into the GPU and cannot be updated. It only supports reading from FAT filesystems (both FAT16 and FAT32), and is unable to boot from an exFAT filesystem. If you would like to use NOOBS on a card that is 64GB or larger, you need to reformat it as FAT32 first before copying the NOOBS files to it. Just load and play, capture and save. (1) microSDXC memory cards can ONLY be used with SDXC host devices. microSDXC memory cards will NOT work with SD / SDHC host devices. Look for the SDXC logo on cards and host devices to ensure compatibility. Most host devices built after 2010 should be SDXC compatible. (2) Results may vary based on host device, app type and other factors. (3) 1GB=1,000,000,000 bytes. Actual user storage less. (4) The read & write speeds are based on internal tests. • It's 500GB not 512GB
Capacity: 512GB
So i just received this today, for the price it's a good value. Things to note: Comes packaged In just a plastic pop case similarly to the the other micro center SD cards! So it's not sealed or protected. Mine luckily came undamaged and it's a legitimate sd card. The drive is NOT 512GB, It's 500GB, which when formatted gives 464GB useable keep this in mind as with a Samsung sd card you'll get 472GB useable so if that extra 8GB is worth it to you keep that in mind. I ran this through fakeflashtest, h2testw and crystaldiskmark it passed all of them without any issues at all, it actually is exceeding the read/write of 95/80 as mine was testing at 96/83 read/write respectively. I'm only giving it 4 stars as for It only be 500GB not 512GB but for the price it's a very good deal if you need an sd card, I tested it in my nintendo switch and it works great so far, I can't say much for how long it'll last but so far no issues at all. ... show more

  • Watch out! 256gb seq. write speed is only 48-54MB, random wirte is only 3MB per sec.
Capacity: 256GB
Warning, my 256 GB does NOT meet V30 speed, and 256GB only has 233GB real storage space. Well, after reading the review, who posted the speed test results (for her 512GB) , that read is 96, and write is 83, and 256GB is 4 dollar cheaper than samsung evo select U3 256GB, so I decided to get this. Big mistake. I brought this as extended storage for my Samsung S20 Ultra, so I can record 4k 60fps on Microsd card. After I inserted it into my phone, I got pop-up message saying due to the slowness speed of the sd card, 4k 60fps will be stored on internal storage. I was like oh no... Then I download 2 apps to test the speed of my new micro center SD card, and the results are disappointing. Sequence write speed is only 48-54 MB per second, that is only half of what it is claimed. Random write is only 3.3MB No wonder S20 said I can't not record 4k 60pfs on SD card. May be 512GB is different and better? But, 256GB definitely not worth. Hard to return now, but from now one, I will stick with bigger brands, like samsung evo U3. Many people tested that sequence write speed can pass 90MB per second. With 4 dollars more, i can get more storage and faster card. ... show more

  • Not 512gb, only 464Gb after formatting
Capacity: 512GB
This card is a great value for the price! It is fast, and I was easily able to format it to fat32 for use in my nintendo switch. The speeds are great, and I'm hoping it lasts me a good long while. My only gripe is that when formatted as exfat or fat32 I only see 464GB of usable space. I know drives GB don't convert directly to advertised space but this card should still come in closer to 490GB. Either way I think this is a great card for the money and it seems to work very well in a nintendo switch! ... show more

Capacity: 512GB
It hasn't worked with my Galaxy S8 plus. I ordered this size 512GB from "Microcenter" for myself. I ordered a 256GB from "Mircocenter" for my son. He has a Samsung too . . . an A10 I believe. I dont k ow if my phone is the problem or the sd card My son's 256GB works GREAT!

  • Died after 2 months of Use
Capacity: 256GB
The SD card died on me after 2 months (purchased July 11) of use in the Samsung S20 phone. Not only it is frustrating to lose data but more importantly, all my pics from the road trips during the long weekend are now gone. I tried it for the first time and probably the last one too. You pay what you get. I understand if the SD went thru multiple read-writes for video or other data but this is pure external storage for a smartphone that is used daily. The SD card is unreadable and cannot be detected on Mac or PC either. ... show more

  • Read/Write Speeds are Not as Advertised
Capacity: 512GB
This is for the 512GB card. While it will fit my personal needs, the read/write speeds for this card are very underwhelming. Write speeds for me are consistently in the 30 to 35 MB/s range and read speeds are in the 70's MP/s. So as the write is the most important to anyone using HD cameras etc. I'd advise you pass on this card and go with a known brand like Samsung or SanDisk. Kind of disappointed in MircoCenter (if this really is MicroCenter). ... show more

  • Failed in under 3 months
Capacity: 256GB
This card failed on me after about 3 months of light usage. It got to about 25% full when I got a message from my tablet saying I should remove the card and copy my data off it since it was failing. I got my data off, but the card now cannot be written to even if I try resetting it or formatting it. I tried troubleshooting steps from the internet and on Mac, Windows and Linux but it cannot be written to again, no matter what I try. I have cards I've had longer from other brands that are still working great. Turn out this card wasn't really worth buying, even at a less expensive price than some other brands. I'm disappointed after reading a few good reviews on the internet. Original review below ---------- This card delivers what it says, which is a reasonably fast card with good capacity. I got the 256 GB version. My real-world sustained write speeds for this card for large files with a fast USB 3 card reader are closer to the 30 MB/s range. Read speeds are a better. These speeds are fine for my needs since even with a faster card, the tablet that I'm going to use it in seems to have a slower interface to the card and only delivers maybe 10-15 MB/s writes at most, so I don't really need the faster card in that device. I'd read some comments on another site that these cards with the blue label were competitive with some UHS speed class 3 cards, but it's not really the case. The Samsung Evo Select (or Evo Plus) are UHS speed class 3 and deliver speeds that are much closer to writing 60 MB/s sustained for large files for me. This MIcrocenter card manufactured by Inland seems to burst up to 60 MB/s for a few seconds before it drops down to a lower write speed and does this repeatedly for an average large file speed closer to 30. This isn't a bad deal if you don't really need the speed, but you can get cards that are quite a bit faster in the current market for only around 25% more in price. I'd buy again for an older or slower device if I needed to and I did a write test to make sure the capacity was real (not a bad idea since there are some fake cards out there sometimes) and the capacity was legitimate. ... show more
