I bought this piece as a gift to my sister. I have a similar reversible coin style necklace that she always admired,(and one that I get constant compliments on), so I was looking for something similar for her as a gift. This piece is really pretty, and I love the fact that it reversed to another design making it a two for one. I am a fan of the silver/gold combo in jewelry. It is smooth so you don't have to worry about it getting caught on your clothing, it has a nice shine to it and I think it looks authentic. The chain is a little thin for me, but certainly works with the pendant proportion and not a deal breaker. In fact, if you are someone who likes to layer necklaces, this may work better for you. My sister has not had it long, so I cannot speak to the durability of the shine and gold/silver retention, but if you are someone who wears this, the way I wear mine, which is to take it off at night, put it on after you spray perfume, don’t swim/shower in it, I think you will have a great looking piece for years. Over all, I highly recommend this if you are looking for a coin necklace.

This necklace is really nice. I read many reviews before purchasing it that said the coin is upside down. I thought I would write a review to inform buyers how to fix this. If your coin appears upside down, take the necklace off. If you fasten your necklaces with the fastener in your right hand, turn the whole necklace around and fasten it from the opposite direction. (The bale is large enough that you can also simply reverse the direction of the chain.) The coin will no longer be upside down. Try it. Hold a quarter between your thumb and finger with the head upside down. Then take it out from between your fingers and turn the coin around. It will be right side up. Flipping it over in the necklace won't correct it - you have to turn the whole necklace around, right to left.

Was so looking forward to receiving this necklace. But as you can see, no matter which way the coin turns, the coin is upside down. When they show you the listing, it shows that the coin is right side up. Not only that but as you can see from the pictures, the framed coin is off-center from the outside curved hinge holding the framed coin. Will send it back and re-order, hoping the next one shows like the one in the listing. This is actually unusual for this company because all of the other jewelry I’ve purchased from this company is spot on perfect and gorgeous.
