The color is a nice deep purple. The are definitely blackout curtains. I was pleased to see that they're a nice soft velvet. Of course they were very wrinkled because of packaging. They are machine washable on gentle cycle and cold water, and it's safe to dry them in the dryer on coolest temp. I took them out of the dryer immediately and hung them ... they were practically wrinkle free. They look very nice and definitely block out the light. They're definitely good quality for a reasonable price.

Honestly for the price they are very nice. Deep royal purple in color, seem to be made well. Unsure about being blackout as I did not buy them for that purpose but that room is definitely darker now. They are not super thick or thin. Mid weight. Money well spent!

It’s taken me eighteen years to put window treatments in my formal dining room. My favorite room in the house was always been missing something. When I saw these blue velvet curtains, I thought it would make a nice addition to complete the room. I do like them very much. When they are drawn, they are a bit too taught, but they look lovely with a tie back. They block out plenty of light that sneaks through the blinds, especially on the sides and they keep the cold air of winter out the room too. They make it both cozy & elegant - a great find.

These are a nice set of 2 panels, heavy enough to block light and provide insulation in my, somewhat unusual, location. The back area of our 5th wheel toy hauler is more of a Man Cave than a place for ORVs and these provide privacy and insulation. The color is as shown with a nice sheen to the velvet. They block the light well and provide a good backdrop for my husband's photography. All in all, a perfect fit.
