I'm 6' and ~250lbs (not a small person) and I fit in this bag with comfortable room to spare. Standing up is easily covers my shoulders and if I crouch a little (or bend my knees a little while laying down) I can cover my head. I went outside in ~35F, very windy and raining weather wearing jeans and a t-shirt and was fairly comfortable, though you do need to insulate yourself from the ground in something like this if you are planning to lay down. It seems reasonably durable, and would probably last a couple nights if you were very careful to avoid anything sharp. Definitely sturdier than the mylar bags at a cost of just a little more bulk. I would recommend including duct/packing tape in your emergency kit for potential tears. I'm assuming if you spent hours inside of it you will end up wet from condensation build up, as it's essentially a plastic bag, but I was not in it for that long. Under idea circumstances (indoors with clean wood floor) I was able to roll it back up and get it back into it's little bag with out trouble. I think you could manage it outdoors, but i did not attempt it. Overall a BIG upgrade to the little mylar emergency blankets. ... show more

These are amazing little emergency sleeping bags. Extremely lightweight and tiny footprint. The perfect size for a backpack. Highly recommend that anyone with an emergency survival kit or who enjoys the outdoors get these to have on hand just in case

This is one of those things I bought intending to never use but I will be glad to have if I need it. Small and compact it can fit in the trunk/glovebox/center console of your car, in a backpack or purse, or even your pocket if they are big enough. It's made of the same material as an emergency blanket, so not as warm as your cold weather sleeping bag, but warm enough to get you through a night or two in a pinch as long as you stay somewhere dry and out of the wind. This set of two (2) emergency sleeping bags are great value for your money. I attach them to my carry-on bag whenever I travel and unfortunately have used it from time to time. Most recently on a train trip from Stuttgart to Paris. They are great in a pinch to keep you warm and from having to lay directly on the ground. I would not recommend them for anything below 40 degrees or so. They are easy to carry, come with their own carabiner clips, and most of all take up very little room. A must have! ... show more
