  • Nice, but needs improvements
Style: Cubism
The board is extremely nice, but there’s some problems with not the trucks or wheels, but the board it self, the board is warped, A LOT, and the boards tail and nose isn’t the best, it would be better if the nose/tail was bigger so it can pop more, but other than that, it’s good, probably one of the best for started skaters. ... show more

  • Loosen nut and change bearings for a decent ride
Style: Punk street
I skateboarded as kid, and had a pretty nice custom board. Now, my daughter is interested, but she's not really interested enough to justify an expensive set up, so I bought this on Amazon figuring it would be a good way for her to try a "real" skateboard. Her immediate take on it: "It's too heavy." She found it too hard to go anywhere. But that didn't make any sense (the board isn't that much heavier than her "toy" size board), so I decided to take a good look at it. Here's my take, the board itself is fine and the hardware is cheap. The trucks are cheap. The bushings feel mushy. The mounting is okay, but questionable. All that was expected. But the bearings? OMG, that bearings are awful. First of all, whoever assembled mine tightened the nuts down so tight that wheels were practically locked. Fine, better safe than sorry, I guess. But here's an important tip, you don't tighten the wheel nut as hard as you can. You tighten it down enough that there is little-to-no side-to-side play of the wheel on the axle, but keep it loose enough to allow for wheelspin. If you're worried about it coming off, just touch it up with some locktite. Anyway, I loosened them to about where they should be. The wheels had a little more spin, but they still looked like they were rolling through pudding. I took the wheels off and removed the bearings and they were legitimately awful. Even just held in my fingers they had almost no spin. Since I had some extra skate bearings laying around, I replaced the originals and the wheels spin *so* much better. And look, I get it, a set of decent bearings (like Bones Red) is going to put you back almost $20, that's half the cost of this whole board. But if you want your kid to *enjoy* skating, you don't want them to be constantly pushing against garbage bearings. It makes every aspect of learning to skate harder. It's not enjoyable for cruising and you can't work up the speed you'll eventually need to start doing tricks. So, if you have a kid that you want to actually enjoy the experience of skating, be sure to at least loosen up that nut *and* seriously consider getting some better bearings. ... show more

  • Ok for a First Board
Bought this for my nephew. As an avid skateboarder I of course had to give it a thorough check first and glad I did. A couple of the trucks had minor defects that were preventing the wheels from spinning properly, after using a box knife to break off the little imperfections it was fine. Additionally, some of the nuts were only hand tight so I snugged them up and used locktite on a couple. Finally adding in some used Bones Reds bearings made the board actually useable. For the price it's as good as what you'd buy at Walmart or other big box store. ... show more

  • Good condition
With the length of time it took to get to me because of location the packaging was bad but the board itself held up. Graphics are nice. Board rides smoothly.

  • Updated rating.

UPDATE: I spoke to a skateboarder and he knew what to do to fix the problem I had below. I’m obviously not skateboard savvy. But now it rolls straight! I give it 4 because the case it comes with is very cheap and broken. But it’s a thick wood that I hope lasts for my girl. ❤️ So.. this was a birthday gift for my daughter. And opening it yesterday she was so very excited to get on and start riding. Until she got on, and started riding. The board does not go straight. I went into my toolbox and tried tightening/loosening the wheels, that did not work whatsoever. I would assume a skateboard would need to be on point when it comes to the wheels being straight, but I guess not with this one? The bag it came in was torn, there is a pocket in the front and the bottom of that pocket is not attached. I thought this was supposed to come with a tool also, this one did not. My daughter was so upset. When they say it’s your birthday, cry if you want to... I don’t think they meant it to be like she was yesterday. I’m so heartbroken for her. ... show more

  • Great value for money for beginner to intermediate.
Style: Graffiti art
I certainly recommend this skateboard in line with the other positive feedback it's received. This is a balance of value and durability which in my case is for weekly or 2X weekly use by a middle schooler. The variety of designs were a welcome treat (have them pick it out) and made it's arrival even more anticipated. I didn't want a high end high priced high quality board, which was overkill given my sons skillset, nor did I want a low end 'it'll break in a month one either' so this seems to be a happy medium. This may be obvious to others but this is the normal skateboard size by which I mean it's longer and wider than the small plastic sized skateboards you find at discount stores. Also it's definitely NOT the long cruiser length board (which is a diff class of skateboard and diff use case). This is for all beginner / intermediate ollies, skate park use and flips. Hope this helps! ... show more
