  • working really well
Color: Semi-Metallic(Aluminum back plate)
These have been dead silent and offered better braking the the original pads on my SLX 7100 brakes. I think the only drawback to these (from previous experience on another bike) is that they wear quickly, so you have to watch them like a hawk. For the price they still might be worth it. I'll report back when they wear out. They are about to go through a hard winter in the PNW. ... show more

After nearly 300 miles I can safely say that these are incredible brake pads. Im a 250 pound slob going 50+ miles an hour, often needing to stop short when blind people pull out in front of me in the rush hour LA nightmare. These things really are impressive. True high quality, ceramic brakes with real stopping power. At $13 a pair, these really do surpass the quality of $40+ Shimanos. I’m going to stock up before they realize these are worth (at least) double the price. ... show more

  • Good price
Color: Ceramic
I've used two semi metallic aluminum pads and one ceramic so far. The Ceramic has been perfect, and one set of the semi metallic aluminum was good but the other started squeaking and I couldnt get it to stop. Cheap enough I just ordered another and tossed the squeaker in the tool bag.

  • They stop the bike. Even with me on it.
Color: Semi-Metallic
Bought these to replace the stock "Ice-Tech" metallic pads that came with the Zee M640's I bought from an online bike retailer. The stock pads stooped the bike fine but rattled like crazy; I guess due to the extra mass of the heat sinks? Anyway, it drove me NUTS. These Gekors pads, however, are dead silent - and they also stop the bike just fine. I ride XC only, and it is usually dry here in Austin TX, so the allegedly reduced power of organic pads isn't a big deal. Was worried about the quality of the pads since a pair is less than $10US, but they didn't fall apart after one ride so I think they'll be fine. One last thing - no brake squeal, unless they get wet, which they did. But unlike metallic pads, which then squeal until the end of the ride and on into the middle of the next ride, these seemed to dry out in 5-10 mins and not squeal any more. YAY! Bottom line: would recommend. ... show more

Color: Semi-Metallic(Aluminum back plate)
I have purchased 5 sets of these pads. I ride a lot and go through pads. The first set was great, stopped well, no noise and wore reasonably well. On the second set I had to adjust the lever adjuster all the way to its end to get the normal feel and position on the lever. I thought 'that's odd". So I bled the brakes thinking it was low on fluid. Could not get them to leave me any adjustment as they wore. After only a few miles I had to remove them as the lever was coming in too far to be functional. So, I put in a new set of Shimano pads in and wallah, problems solved, perfect adjustment. So, I measured a new pair, total thickness, pad and backing and the Gekors were 3.63mm or .144" thick. The working Shimano pad was .4mm thick. All Shimano pads I had were .4mm / .157"" thick. I measured another set of new Gekors, they were .360" as well, which is .040" of wear already as brand new. Measured another set of new Gekors I had, and they were .4mm and they worked great. I was swapping new pads to try and resolve the problem. I Just ordered and got another new set of Gekors as a back up and they measure ..3.63mm / .144", which will not work!!! So I'm writing this in hopes that Amazon and Gekors gets the hint and fixes the issue as they are good pads, when you get the correct thickness pads. Here is what I ordered every time: Gekors Lightweight Semi-Metallic Bicycle Disc Brake Pads With Aluminum Back for Shimano Saint M810 M820 /Zee M640. UPDATE 9/5/2022: these are great for casual riding. But since the last review, I've had 2 more sets of these pads actually fail completely on steep decents. There were brand new pads that measured correctly to start with but the heat let the asbestos part of the pad come OFF of the backing and obviously I lost all braking ability and hit a tree. Not a good secure feeling on a fast, steep decent. BEWARE. (see the picture of after the failure). ... show more

  • Seem great for the price.
Color: Ceramic
The ceramic brake pads fit my Tektro Orion 4 pot brakes perfect. Pretty good braking power right away with minimal bedding in. I don't notice a lot of brake fade with the ceramic pads and they are quiet. I can't stand having noisy brakes. Decent cheap pads. I trail ride mostly with some downhill stuff mixed in. I think these will work fine but I can't speak for their longevity. ... show more

  • Cheap, did not last
Color: Ceramic
Super 73 with shimano brakes, only lasted a month. Burned down to the rear brake rotor and destroyed the back end with no warning or indication pending brake pad failure.
