You can't go wrong with stainless steel zip ties like these. I've used them now for years. Either stainless steel silver or black stainless. Great for outdoors like fencing or tarps with gromets, classic cars, etc. Unlike what we're all used to the standard plastic zip ties, these do not snap off, deteriorate, break, etc. A zip tie stainless steel cutting tool i highly recommend if you don't have one, because your standard wire cutters usually don't work well trimming the excess off. These metal zip ties work great but our intended for things like repairing a chain-link fence. Don’t expect to get a super tight closure if using it on something that is dependent upon it. Other than that, they work well – they are easy to “thread“ (actually easier than plastic ones) and when use for the right project, they hold securely, requiring wire cutters to break. ... show more

    • Worked very well but you'll need the right tools
I'm replacing 500 nylon zip ties that hold up our sports court netting. I'm tired of having to replace many of them every spring. The nylon versions don't hold up well to the UV and weather damage. They became brittle and would just break. I'm trying these metal versions and hope for longer success. They installed well. Very low failure rate. I did have a few that were just defective and wouldn't lock up. They are hard to get super tight and you'll need to get the hang of using both hands and pushing on the locking mechanism while pulling the exposed end. You'll need a good pair of snips to cut off the excess since side cutters are not strong enough. Fingers crossed that this solves my problem ... show more

In the AZ heat, the plastic ties just breakdown within a year… these secure it permanent and easy to use. They’re just as versatile as the plastic version, but a lot cheaper over time.
