We have a lot of sporting goods and these items tend to get thrown into totes and piled up during the seasons. Having storage has been a priority for a long time. The price point was a draw, but we were leery about the sturdiness of the cabinets. We ended up ordering two of them. The packing is very good. No flimsy paper ends to protect the corners, but steel! We may be able to reuse them in another project. The pieces and instructions are pretty clear. There are 2 screws that go on the bottom shelf to the back two pieces (B & C). Lay down the unit to access this area from underneath. That part of the instructions is not very clear. The top, part H, is a struggle. Put on one side then struggle to get to the other. It does fit, I promise. We had a little bend in the underside that was a hindrance, but straightened up a little to get it to fit. The adjustable shelves are nice. We will be able to arrange things better as we wind down on our sports for winter. I am considering buying some more. The height and length are perfect for our area.

This cabinet may be one of the finest products I have ever purchased! It is crafted of heavy gauge metal with a smooth, flawless finish. The engineering tolerences and hence the fit of parts is a thing of beauty. I was shocked to learn it was produced in China. Parts are meticulously labeled and packaged. Assembly instructions are easy to follow. They even include a pair of gloves to wear during assembly. Now let me tell you the good part! The packaging is the BEST I have ever encountered. Eash part is protected with styrofoam "inserts". The parts are separated by foam sheets and the carton ends are wraped in heavy metal protective inserts! More metal gussets protect the flanks of the package. Then the entire bundle in packaged in EXTRA HEAVY cardboard. Truely amazing! Great product at a great price.

I ordered two of these cabinets for my company's office, and put them together by myself (am a "little old lady"). These come in two pretty hefty boxes per cabinet. Three out of the four boxes had no damage to the contents, but the 4th did, such that one side panel was slightly dented in the middle and a couple other pieces - a shelf and a back piece - also showed signs of stress, but less noticeably. Nevertheless the damage wasn't so bad that it interfered with assembly, and we'll find a way to hide the one panel where it's visually noticeable. I think the company who did the packing did about the best they could. There were *metal* pieces protecting every corner of the boxes. The stresses that couldn't be avoided were in the middle of the box: too much flexing applied at some point in transit. I can't see any way they could protect against that without making shipping costs outrageous. Overall I think it's pretty great value for money. Keep an eye on shipping charges, they're pretty high, but I think these are still worth it because they have actually-latching handles and beat other cabinets in available volume. Assembly was not at all difficult. Instructions are adequate. The only absolutely required tools are a utility knife for unboxing and a Philips screwdriver. A needle nose plier will be helpful for installing the handle because a cotter pin is part of it. Regular pliers or their equivalent might come in handy if there is a bent flange and you want to bend it back. Have a flashlight as well, so you can see the screw holes (this is really the most frustrating part) when working inside the cabinet or in a tight spot and light is restricted. Be prepared to have to get rid of a lot of styrofoam, and have a plan for recycling the cardboard.

I was impressed from the moment I opened the package. The shipping box had huge sheet metal inserts in all corners of the box for reinforcement. I have never seen that level of care for the shipping box before! The amount of planning to perfectly fit all pieces in the shipping box was obvious. Parts were labeled and identified in the instructions well. The instructions even started with a picture of the finished product with the individual pieces labeled so you have an overview before starting the assembly. Then, to my pleasant surprise, the pieces of the cabinet are designed to interlock together and then screwed tight too. The design is fantastic! The instructions are straight forward diagrams. The only negative I could say is that the diagram for installing the handle with the door rods attaching to it could have been divided into two pages and enlarged some of the views. The diagrams were pretty dang small for some of the placement of little pieces for where the rods attach to the handle. I actually missed attaching the rod to the handle mechanism and had to pull the otter key back out to correct the error. Otherwise, very impressed!!!

I redid my garage and these are perfect. Then redid my closet, bought two more. The engineering that went into the packaging alone, is incredible. The design made each component nest into the next. No wasted box space. My 6' cabinets weighed about 100 pounds, in the box so be prepared for that. (Each one). I assembled them myself and only took about an hour for the cabinet and then maybe 15 minutes for the latch which I did later. The packaging which I am raving about, was full of foam board to protect the metal parts and then further, galvanized steel rectangular boxes that went over the ends and sides to protect them from shipping damage. Those boxes, by the way, make great tool trays by drilling a couple mounting holes and screwing them to the garage wall. Very well down. Wish I had more places for more of them.

We ordered this cabinet last year and were very happy with it. Went together easy, seemed sturdy, looked nice in our office space. We needed another, so I reordered it. 2nd cabinet is shorter, not as wide, flimsier. Not happy with it all. Having two cabinets side by side that don't match distracts from our space.
