Description

Code in Box: Sneaking DLC Pack. An intense origin story betrayal and tactical espionage action. Become Naked Snake, a special operations soldier tasked with sneaking into hostile environments, avoiding combat when possible, hiding the evidence when he does engage and infiltrating deep into enemy territory to complete his mission. The legendary story, characters, voice acting, gameplay, and music that made the original a sensation all return, evolved and more immersive than ever. This modern leap breathes new life into every cutscene and rebuilds every corner of the world. With the updated battle damage system, the wear and tear of Snake's clothes, as well as bruises and bullet wounds on his body, reflected in real time. Snake's clothes can be mended by changing his outfit, but any injuries to his actual body will leave their mark permanently, telling a story of each player's unique journey through the game. With Unreal Engine 5, expansive stages are rendered with cutting-edge technology. Incredible new graphics bring the wild growth of the jungles, forests, and swamps to life in exquisite detail. Characters are rendered in such fine detail that facial wrinkles, pores, and even separate eye and iris movements are visible, allowing for rich and emotive facial animations. In addition to the original play style and control scheme, players can elect for a newly added, more modern control style. These intuitive controls let you focus entirely on the game, and the immersive thrills of the survival stealth experience.

  • A makeover that respects the original.
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Tactical
Good remake, I like the added wrinkles to the gameplay, but to be honest for those sitting on the fence: it is still the same game. At base, you can play this cheaper in the collection that came out a couple of years ago. Whether the update in graphics and few gameplay tweaks is worth full price is what one should consider. Never played MGS3 at all? I would recommend easily for a first timer (though I’d still point out the cheaper option as a choice too), but for the rest, it depends on how much the graphics and modern controls matter to you. Either way, original or this new one, MGS3 is a great game and worth playing. Which version is worth your money, however, is entirely up to you as the base game is the same. Personally, I hope they do this for others in the series. I’d like to hope this is also functioning as a training process on possibly doing a brand new one entirely. Hideo Kojima is a great designer, but he is not singularly responsible for everything in these games, and I think someone who has respect for them can step in and make a new one. Between this, the Silent Hill 2 remake, and the upcoming Silent Hill F, I think Konami is making an earnest effort in climbing back up. ... show more

  • Enjoyable

Love this game. The improved graphics get rid of the intentional "haze" of the original but it doesn't detract from the quality of the game. It was a joy to play again with updated controls as well.

  • If you like the og this is a must play

Great remake of a great game. Biggest changes are graphical, the gameplay is very much the same/similar to the OG.

  • A Masterpiece With An Awesome New Coat Of Paint!
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Tactical
My only experience playing this game was on 3DS and despite the wonky controls, I absolutely loved it. I was so excited when I heard a remake was coming out for PS5. Having spent a week playing the heck out of MGS Delta, I can honestly say that I think it's a masterpiece. The character models look fantastic and the environments are still mesmerizing all these years later (21 years!). I've only noticed a couple instances of slowdown and only had 1 crash and I've been playing on graphics mode. Some upgrades feel taken right out of MGSV but that's not at all a bad thing. The refined controls and improved camera makes defeating the bosses much easier this go around but that only adds to the fun and replayability. I still think the twist ending to MGS5 SUCKS. ... show more

  • Phenomenal game a must-have
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Tactical
This is a phenomenal remake I must have for any metal gear fan with routine updates from PlayStation and Konami the game does seem to be running quite well have been enjoying it since it's come in.

  • Favorite metal gear solid remade
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Tactical
One of my favorite games, given a fresh coat of paint! Has crazy over the top moments, but also some profound commentary on how war affects people when times change. Gameplay is both familiar to original and changes how game is balanced to make it feel Less dated. Has one of the best endings to a video game. Good introduction if your new to the series, but would still recommend playing the first two games first for context. However, look into the performance of the game. I didn't run into any major problems, but I know I heard others have. Hope you enjoy! ... show more

  • Terrible version of MG! Prepare to be frustrated.
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Tactical
The fact that I spent $70 on this game is ridiculous. I don't know what the other reviews are saying but this is not OG at all. This is UGLY. Terrible combat mechanics, ridiculous weapon and item changes, a ridiculous boss every other map page. I've been playing these games since the original metal gear for Nintendo, this game sucks. Point blank. If I could get my money back I would. Literally someone can have my copy. I play and beat to 100% all sorts of games, from RE,AC, COD, Gears, FF, but this one I'm completely done with already. The fact that every time I'm hurt i have to disinfect this, suture that, bandage this, serum that.. stupid. Then you can't switch guns. Wtf I gotta open a menu every time to switch from pistol to shot gun or rifle. Terrible job. We're here in 2025 now, I don't want to go back to NES. ... show more
