This is a great little addition to our front door. It’s good quality, feels sturdy, and honestly does exactly what it’s meant to do. It adds an extra layer of defense against the evil doers who love ringing the doorbell to sell us things, wake everyone up, and get the dog barking. The metal feels solid and well made, and it seems like it will last a long time without bending or wearing down. It arrived packaged well and installed easily with no hassle. Once it’s on, it creates a very clear barrier that makes people think twice before ringing the bell. I really like that it physically blocks the button. There’s no pretending they “didn’t see the sign.” If someone wants to ring the bell, they have to intentionally move it, which is exactly the point. I get visits from random salespeople who leave cards on my mailbox and knock on the door. Usually I let them talk to the Ring rather than answer. We have rules about signs in my neighborhood, so unfortunately I can’t post a huge yellow notice with black lettering in the yard. This doorbell cover is a more refined way to get the message across without drawing the HOA’s ire! It’s hardly noticeable from the street, but when a solicitor approaches to ring the doorbell, they can’t miss the polite notice right there. It’s available in either a right or left-sided orientation, depending on how the doorbell is mounted, and is super easy to install with adhesive tape. It’s made with attractive silver metal rather than plastic that could crack, fade or bend, so it will keep its fresh appearance for years to come. The lettering is easy to read, it has a high quality look, and compliments the silver tone of the Ring doorbell.

This is a neat idea. I have the one that goes on the left. It’s designed so that when you flip it to cover the button, it reads “Do Not Disturb.” Then when you open it and put it to the side, it reads “No Soliciting.” Once put in position, there’s enough tension at the hinge so that it stays where you want it. A normal wind won’t move it. It doesn’t lock, so someone could move it out of the way and press the button, but they can’t claim they didn’t see it. It’s just kind of a thin metal sheeting, but it’s sturdy enough for the job. The hinge is good. The paint (on the lettering) is good and it should last for a very long time. The first thing to fail would probably be the adhesive. In that case, it can be reattached.

The item itself is good but I ordered a right side mount and received left side mount. The product is engraved, thin and light weight. My ring camera was too thick to mount it properly but it came with extra adhesive so I stuck it to the side instead of on the back. I wish they had other color options because my ring is bronze and this is silver. It still is good quality for the price on it and it looks clean/sharp. It has "No soliciting" on one side and "Do not disturb" on the other. I am hoping even having the no soliciting side over the button that no one will ring. If it ends up not working, it's because people move it/ignore it and not the product's fault.

This is exactly what we needed. Our dog is incredibly anxious and cannot handle unexpected visitors. This amazing little contraption stops people in their tracks! Simply clean the surface of your ring doorbell, peel the plastic off the adhesive and stick it on. Use the hinge to cover the button and never again will anyone ring the bell. If you're expecting someone, open the hinge to expose the button. We even had 2 sales people come to the door and when they saw it they simply chuckled and walked away. No upset dog, no wasting their time. I love this thing and its worth its value 10 times over.

This no soliciting / do not disturb sign was easy to install on our Nest doorbell. It attaches with a simple sticker to the side of the unit. Two extra stickers come with the sign. The design is effective. When the "Do Not Disturb" sign is visible, it physically covers the round button. This means somebody would have to move the sign to ring the bell. There is absolutely no way they can ring the bell and not see the sign. I've had a "No Soliciting" sign in our front window for years, and I still get bothered by salespeople. The "No Soliciting" message next to the bell itself will be a good solution to not rouse our dogs and have peace and quiet. I hope they don't knock on the door now.

Style: Right Side Mount
First of, as you can see from my pic, this is designed to mount on the LEFT side of the doorbell, not the right. If you mount it from the right side, the message will be upside down. Second, the riser is incredibly shallow. It shows this mounting onto a ring doorbell, which is at least an inch deep, probably more like 1.5", but the riser is only about a quarter inch deep(see pic). This will not cover any doorbell that is more than a quarter of an inch deep. Finally, and this is a bit persnickety, but it's very flimsy and easily bent. If you did manage to get it to work, I don't think it would last you for the long haul and would sustain bends just from regular use.

This is a cheaply made, flimsy little doorbell sign/cover, and I can't imagine it would last any length of time. If you have an older Ring doorbell, especially the kind that sits on the angled mount, this is impossible to use. It doesn't have a deep enough opening to accommodate the doorbell, so it's basically useless. It's also a very thin metal that's easy to bend and easy to scratch. The lettering is also painted on, not etched. Would not recommend without a near complete overhaul of the design.
