Recently moved and wanted to locate my property boundaries. I have the GPS coordinates but wanted to locate the survey stakes. Unfortunately, the area was originally surveyed decades ago and the stakes were no longer visible due to overgrowth in a wooded area. I spoke to our local authorities and they suggested using a metal detector if I had one. I’d did not. So I called a few survey companies and found that purchasing a metal detector would be a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of hiring a professional surveyor. I figured it was worth a try. This was really easy to assemble. It took less than 20 mins before it was up and running. I had never used one before so I took a few mins to learn all the alarms and indicators. It’s not as complicated as I thought. I was a little intimidated by the features, but it’s actually super easy to eliminate certain metals to really search for something specific. Since I was in the woods it was pretty easy to locate the stakes. Because it came with a convenient shovel I was able to actually locate the stakes that were under about 8-10 inches of dirt and brush. I was surprised how well it worked and that it was more comfortable than carrying around my weed trimmer. So if your planning on starting up a hobby or using like I did, this is a great device that actually works. Great detector for the cost, the small shovel included is nice as well, my first find was a buried piece of farm equipment back in the woods, nothing too exciting, but it picks up differences it metal well enough!

Great metal detector for the price. I am a beginner but so far everything seems great with it. It was super easy to put together. Took less than five minutes to assemble. I have tested it some in my own yard so far. Seems to work very well. It does detect a lot of things so I'm gonna start experimenting with the notch option soon so I can exclude some of the lesser things like nails and things. So far have found a couple nails and a penny but have only used it a couple times. Really looking forward to finding some cool treasures. Also is water proof but have yet to try that feature out. But may take it to the beach with me sometime and check it out. Overall seems to be a very nice metal detector. I also like the adjustability to it as far as height. I can lower it down if my kids ever want to use it and can also use it comfortably as well with it extended out being as I'm a little tall. Very pleased with the item. And the seller. Recieved it very fast and box was packed very nicely. Came with a few accessories also like a shovel and pouch. Batteries for it, headphones and also a travel bag for the detector itself. I bought this on a whim just to see if I would be interested in hunting again. Mind you the last time I did it was in high school and I know everything has changed. My first run was a lot of trash items, nuts, bolts and nails. My second run yielded pennies, a nickle and 3 quarters - if my children knew they would ask for them back telling me the must have fallen out of their pockets. LOL. I'm glad to say that everytime I have gone out for a few hours, I find some little treasure, mostly coins however, no gold mine yet. Very pleased with the results. ... show more

This metal detector was very easy and quick to set up!! Main purpose to buying this was to find some hunting arrows my husband lost in the ground and we found them!! Best metal detector I’ve used!!

I tried this metal detector on the coins I have and it was able to detect them pretty easily. The meter does jump around based on the distance from the coin. The old silver coin I found is also detected which is awesome. The meter showed 95-99 for the silver coin. The assembly was pretty easy. Just attach the 4 pieces together. It took me about 5 minutes. The batteries are included and was hiding in the shovel bag. I thought it didn’t come with one so I end up using my own. Oops. The shovel is pretty cool. It’s folded into a small pouch. Super portable and easy to use. Overall I’m happy with this set and I hope to try my secret spot for more silver. ... show more
