htp siding coil nailer does a great job putting stainless nails into pine pickets on a fence/gates I built. Why cant I use my 21 degree straight nailer? it leaves the plastic connector under the heads of most nails- fine for framing where nails will be sided or sheet rocked over, ugly for a fnished surface. wire connected coil nails dont leave plastic sticking out of the surface! gun works like a champ with only a couple hundred nails through it. good weight, good depth setting ... show more

We've been using this nailer at work to handle siding and framing, and it works well for the job. it’s handy that it can fire different types of nails, which saves me from switching tools all the time. i like how lightweight it feels and that it feels sturdy enough for daily use. that said, sometimes it jams if i'm not careful, so a little patience is needed. overall, it’s a nice tool to have around, especially when you’re on tight deadlines or working on different materials. ... show more

I've got a project lined up for this gun. Give me a few days and let's see how she holds up. I will post back on my experience. Amazon had the gun to me in one day, outstanding service. I contacted Metabo on what I thought was a potential issue with the air plug being deflected a bit. I thought maybe this was a design defect. But, the technical department at Metabo, with a super helpful man Gary, went to his boss and showed him my pics and I was told it was designed this way on purpose to cause a bit of a deflection of the hose away from the magazine for the ease of installation of the coil nails. It seemed reasonable to me so the genuine test is how does it hold up over the next few days of me putting on siding. I will post after the project and let you know how it went. Update: Great gun, this gun has not jammed yet. Half a box of nails. I would definitely buy Hitachi-Metabo again. Has a good feel in the hand, good balance. I like the Aluminum hook its durable and nice and wide to hang or retrieve easily without a fight from ladders, rafters, rails, etc. You will not be disappointed with this gun. I purchased this one over the Max gun. I have used both and both are excellent guns. I wanted to see if Metabo was living up to the Hitachi reputation I think they are doing alright. ... show more

Not a fan. Purchased for running zip sheathing on our house build. Purchased a bunch of metabo hpt ring shank galvanized nails in the wire rolls 2.5”. This gun could not keep a consistent nail depth to save its life. After a couple boxes of nails we gave up, and used regular 21 degree ring shank nails of the same specs with perfect consistency. This thing cause so much grief due to needing to come back and tape and flash over all the over penetrations.. The inconsistency plus the constant jams made this a nightmare to use. Maybe this one was just a lemon. There are plenty of great reviews, but mines not one of them. ... show more
