The 36V Triple Hammer BOLT Impact Driver (WH36DC) is the Next Generation of cordless impacts! By incorporating a third anvil and now 5 speed settings including the powerful BOLT mode that efficiently tightens and loosens large bolts and nuts, it can achieve a high torque of 1,903 in-lbs, an impressive 4,100 BPM, and a faster driving speed of 3,400 RPM, while also reducing vibration. The new Triple Hammer BOLT impact driver is ultra-compact at only 4.5” in length allowing users to have more access in tight spaces and at only 2.0lbs it is lightweight to use all day. With its Triple LED light, it is perfect to work in any dark workspaces, while minimizing shadows. I have a non triple hammer 18V impact driver that was part of a hammer drill kit. The impact on the left is the new 36V impact driver while the 18V is on the right. Size-wise the new 36V impact driver is much smaller than my non triple hammer version and I thought my 18V impact was small already. The 36V impact has 5 speeds to choose from and the LED light placement virtually eliminates shadows. Stopped working a little after a month of light use. Even the batteries will not charge. Unable to get exchange. I would expect this for a cheap drill but not one priced for hundreds of dollars. DO NOT BUY THIS.

If you like the original Triple Hammer, you’ll LOVE the Triple Hammer BOLT. It’s lighter, faster and you can’t beat the smoothness of this impact. If the plastic on the front around the Chuck falls off or anyone is uneasy about it, put some glue under it to keep it and the rubber gasket that goes in front of the plastic (put a dab of clear super glue, like loc tite), but only if you’re pressing on the drill so hard that your hand slips and it comes off or rubs up against something hard enough to fall off. It’s strictly there for aesthetics, under it is the ugly metal that all the other big names have. However, the rubber ring around the Chuck in front of the plastic could play a part in the IP56 rating, which will allow this bad boy to be completely submerged in water and come out fully functional. This piece of plastic isn’t something that will break, as I’ve seen on another reviewers comment. It seemed to be a worry, it won’t break. I’ve been in situations where it has come off, so I’ve glued them on all of my triple hammers, no big. I glued one with clear epoxy, which is extreme and the other 3 I used loctite brand super glue that dries clear. MetaboHPT nailed it, keep it up. Keep innovating and expanding and I’ll keep paying the premium for the best pro grade tools on the market. I still have the original triple hammer from 2016 bearing the Hitachi namesake, that thing is a dog, it just keeps going. I admittedly tried to burn it up about a year ago and couldn’t reasonably accomplish it. Well done. ... show more

This is the most powerful 1/4 inch impact I've used. But the one thing I don't like about this tool is the front area around the chuck is all plastic. I feel this is going to get destroyed over time, On my older impact the one area that gets beat up good is right around the chuck but the other impacts I have are a strong anodized aluminum. I like the LED's to light up the work area and when your looking for some powerful impact this is the tool I grab. ... show more

Okay so I can tell you I have tried many different impacts. I’ve tried Milwaukee, Dewalt, ryobi and black and decker just to name a few. Obviously Milwaukee and Dewalt are the top dawgs in the industry and by no means am I dogging any of them. I love my Milwaukee Fuel impact, it’s awesome. However this is my first Metabo and this impact is an absolute stud! I really can’t understand how they pack so much power into this tiny impact. I can literally bust lug nuts off with this thing with no problems. I can drive anchors right into brick or concrete without even trying. I’m a groundskeeper by trade so I’ve been around power tools for many years. I will say this is probably overkill for most DIY homeowners but hey if you have the cash and like showing off to your neighbors then I say go for it. I mean who doesn’t like having the biggest meanest impact on the block?? Battery life is scary good as well. This is an impact that could keep a contractor going for many hours of continuous use.
