Great quality! Really great value for the set /cost. I have been using Metabo cordless tools for a while. I have many of them. Super reliable and tough. Great battery life as well. Some nice features are the batteries are ALL interchangeable no matter what size battery use or have. The batteries have their own power indicator on them so you always know how charged up they are. The batteries charge super fast as well. Most the tools have an LED light, which I find useful. I especially like this impact driver. Very strong and the quick change chuck is very convenient. I had a set of drills like this but thy were very old and needed replacing. This is an excellent set as a replacement. I have used them extensively over the last few months with no issues. Battery life is good. I find the impact driver to be very useful, especially for small spaces. Also the trigger on the impact driver allows you to control the power going to the driver. Slightly more powerful but heavier and bulkier than the ...DDX models. The WH18DC is the way to go (most powerful and same size and weight as the DDX) if you can spring for a bit more, otherwise I'd go with the cheaper brushless ...DDX models and skip these ...DEX models. Honestly I don't like any of the HPT drills due to the chucks sometimes listening up with heavier bits due to the fast brake. I'd go with a Makita or Hercules drill instead. The HPT impacts are the best on the market in my opinion. Best triggers, speed modes, and plenty of power. Most importantly, they start impacting earlier than most other makes. ... show more

This is important for you to know so you know what I know before you buy it. Huh?--- Yup! I Got this set for my grandson who is working construction, driving thousands of screws a day into uprights, braces, for pole barns, decks and the like. His foreman let him use his Matebo for part of the day a week ago and he absolutely could not stop talking about it. I got him this set (drill / driver) and he was thrilled. I went to the job site the next day and only then did I find out that I got him a "two hammer" version and his foreman had a "three hammer" version. I sunk a batch of 3" screws with the two, then the three hammer version. I thought the two hammer version was ultra comfortable and effortless to run but the three hammer version has the "KA-POW!" to effortlessly sink a 3" screw even into even knotty wood and is even more comfortable to run with less fatigue for hours and hours at a time. Grandson told me they use one battery and always have the other one on a charger and rotate every couple hours of ultra-hard use. As a former shop teacher for 32 years, I have seen the first generation (worthless) battery-powered tools blossom into the most incredible and effective "power helpers" in history. Two or three hammer version? Up to you but my next one will be the three hammer version, that I will give to my grandson, and as I am 70 years old, I will take the two hammer one because I know I will wear out my arms before the Matebo wears out anything. I give this baby 5 stars, and if i had to start all over again collecting my vast array of battery powered tools, I would start with these and give up my "lime green garden" of other battery powered tools. ... show more
