It's certainly an expensive item (as a friend put it... "that's like you mounted a used-car on your wall!"), but I can't make the value assessment for anyone but myself, so I'll try to stick to the facts: it works quite well and seems sturdy enough to last--so far, no issues. Software is solid, I like having both browser support and app support. Some people have enjoyed the sound it makes, others have been startled by it when not expecting it; overall it's not very loud (certainly not disturbing from even just one room over), I would say the volume is loud enough to get one's attention without being grating. Most people have found it very visually impressive, and the legibility is commendable: people can usually read it on video-calls when it's behind me in my office (about 12 feet away and up high enough to be above my head). Honestly, never-ending barrage of questions from whoever visits my house about it. Surprisingly easy to operate and program. Currently have it setup to show me the weather at every hour, display now playing songs, show me the sports score of whatever game is currently on for teams I follow, and randomly throw in a Seinfeld quote throughout the day. Only con I would note, which is of no fault of the design, is that it is louder than I expected when it changes (which kind of makes sense when tens of little flip letters are stuttering along). ... show more
