I purchased these boots for my Granddaughter (8yrs) and a pair for my Grandson (10yrs) too. They are great for fun hikes and adventurous beach walks during the fall and winter months along the Jersey shore. These hiking boots keep their feet dry and protected from fallen tree branches, thorns etc. and much better traction than their sneakers. We found them to be very supportive and sturdy, great for dirt trails with some hills and rocks. I own a pair for myself as well. Mine are at least 6 yrs old and still look and feel like new even though they have been around! Great purchase!!

We sized up on these to allow for thicker socks. My daughter loved these did not have any issues with them. She wore them a couple days before going on a hike to try to break them in. We suffered no blisters and she said they were warm and comfy the entire time.

My daughter needed some rain shoes for this winter while at school. She refuses to wear rain boots; does not like heavy clunky shoes. These are not only cute but comfortable too! They work well in the rain and mud. I feel confident sending her off to school in these shoes this winter. They also fit true to size; my kid is a youth 5.5 and I bought size 6 which gives her a little room to grow. Highly recommend!!!

My 8 year old loves his new hiking boots, he says they are super comfortable. We traveled to Canadian Rockies and I needed shoes that will hold his feet better than his regular snickers and be warmer, these shoes were great for both. The only thing to keep in mind is that they are not water proof.

I have FINALLY found decent shoes!!! So happy! I have been all over the place with shoes since 08. The quality disappeared, and was replaced with gimmicks (looking at you Sketchers!). It's disappointing to have to deal with shoes that were once reliable to have them disinegrating under your feet. I tried Keens, Nike, New Balance, Sketchers, some off brands, and had tried Merrill's before. They kept ripping or worse, and falling apart, lasting at most 6 months. Used to have walking shoe & work shoes last a year or more (with a lot of heavy use). Blah blah blah, I know. All that to say, I finally feel I can trust these shoes! So happy :). It's been so frustrating, so having the last shoes finally last a year is a miracle! They are still usable, but have a hole on the side. I have been getting my strength back from being sick a lot, so I wasn't consistent. But I walked as often as I could & also do yardwork (in a difficult yard, hilly slopes, rocks and many trees). My regular walks are 2-3 hrs with a 65 lb dog that pulls. To still have shoes function a year later makes me so happy. This is my second pair just now. If there's anything to complain about, 1) the soles are a bit thin for my walks (I just added a thin sole & it works perfectly), and 2) the shoelaces loosen. Oh, also could use another hole to lace tighter, as my ankles are small. Not much to complain about, as you can see. Thank you Merrill!
