I see too many reviews that say "They're great" or "they fit perfectly!" How is that useful? So. I have a medium width foot, size 10.5. I have a high arch and a narrow heel. Chicken ankle. And my foot is slim from the floor to he top of my foot. This shoe feels like it was made for me. If you have a flat foot you're going to hate it. If your foot is average thickness you'll be fine. I found I had a little extra room in the toe box. But that's what strings are for. The heel fit securely. The shoe was very flexible right out of the box. I took it for a 6 mile hike day one. No blisters. No soreness. Very smooth ride under the heel on landing of the foot. I hope this helps.

I purchased these shoes exactly one week from the date of my race, the Cateran Yomp, held in Scotland. 54 mile through the Highlands in 24 hours. I literally took the shoes out of the box, removed the packing paper and put them on. I didn't even relace or retie the laces. During the race it was raining the 90% of the time and 75% and the terrain was boggy marsh. Amazingly my feet did not blister or feel uncomfortable at any time! When I was not in the water the shoe expelled the water quickly and did not leave me feeling as if my foot was sloshing around. I've been in the military for 25 years and I've worn multiple pairs of boots, hiking shoes, and running shoes. Never have I had such a phenomenal experience in a pair of shoes like I did in these Merrells. This is my first pair of Merrells, I can tell you, I will be recommending these to all of my friends and they are now my #1 shoe! I look forward to trying the different models available for hiking, running and every day use. Great product, thank you!

The shoe is comfortable . Basically most of the the adhesives are coming loose from the shoe. The Upper has been separating from the lower for months . The front Toe chips and flakes off as well . The Vibram sole is super durable ,too bad they don`t make the entire shoe . I have have owned trail gloves that last virtually a lifetime ; this shoe disappoints. After a few months I feel a quality shoe should not be falling apart from medium wear

Had these for less than 10 months with very little use when the upper came away from the sole of the shoe. The glue failed at the seam. I have had several pairs of Merrell shoes and never had a minutes trouble. Bad design.

They are a nice shoe, I use them for hiking. Merrell shoes are a little roomier in the toe box as opposed to my Salomon which fit pretty snug, but I also wear heavier wool hiking socks, so the combination works well for me. I order D width on all my shoes. Not too crazy about the vinyl accents on the shoe, seems somewhat thin, not the heavier suede type material on the Moab Ventilators I owned. The soles are a harder material and I expect them to last longer than the Ventilators which had a lot of grip but wore down quicker than I expected. The break in period is minimal with a stiffer feel than trail runners when you first wear them. Overall I expect them to perform well. I am confident I made a good purchase and will get lots of miles out of them.

First I have to admit upfront that I am a long-time user and fan of Merrill’s. This is probably my fifteenth or so pair Of either Merrell’s Cross trainers or comfort shoes. This pair ranks up with the best. Transparency forces me to tell however that I also buy other insoles. Not that Merrell’s isn’t comfortable. I just opt for ones offering me a touch more comfort and support. Updated: 5/24/18 - First pair of Merrell's that I have found the size not to its standard 9.5M fitting. After the initial five or six wearings the pair did not loosen up as I usually find them to do and feel tight and uncomfortable after just short walks or jogs. I thought maybe I had ordered the wrong size but no, size 9.5M they are best I can tell. I would return these for a size 10M had I not wore them that half dozen times.

I have come to really like Merrell and these Moab Edge did not disappoint. As I have aged (65), I find my feet have spread and become sensitive to rubbing the sides and toes of shoes. I moved from size 10.5 finally to 11.5 now, but I still prefer a bit of room for my toes. Merrell's design, at least in some of their shoes, accommodates my needs. It is important to note all their styles do not meet this need for me. I have a pair of their cheaper designs that are so uncomfortable in the toe I had to give up on them. So, pay a little more to get better design and materials. I find they last me a year + and I average over 8.000 steps a day. I often walk more than 10,000 steps a day.

When I received these shoes on June 7th, I was very pleased. They fit very well and seemed durable. It is now August 6th and the toe is already separating. I couldn't be more disappointed. I wear them 3-5 days a week not doing anything that is considered hard on shoes and they can't even hold up to simple walking. I do not recommend these shoes. Update: I contacted Merril, and submitted a claim. Within 30 minutes they handled my claim and sent a replacement pair of shoes of similar style that I chose. Customer service was top notch, polite, and fast. I'm very satisfied.
