Made in Bangladesh version even with waterproof tag were NOT at all waterproof. Made in Vietnam version were so when you get them immediately poor water on them and easy to tell. Return window is 30 days without a lot of calling so you are warned. Others say they make noise walking so if they do sole is probably loose with water intrusion return. Why a 5 rating with these problems is that 5 comes up first and no one looks down or clicks the lower ones - human nature. Loved them returned them. Going to the parks in Utah to hike and couldn't decide on whether I wanted to keep the mid size pair or go with the regular height. The toe fit was the same with either plenty of room if you order 1/2 size larger. The mid size boot did give more ankle support, but for the same quality shoe I decided on the lower cut shoe, just because it feels more like a lite hiking shoe than the mid size boot. I have wide feet 4E and had been limiting myself to New Balance running and hiking shoes. Amazon lets you try on the boots for seven days to see if they fit right and are comfortable. These boots were comfortable right out of the box and the sizes are accurate. I thought I would have to buy a larger size to accommodate thick wool socks that I will be wearing on a backpacking trip. This purchase was to replace previous Moab hiking boot that were comfortable, durable, and exceeded my expectations. Durability proven as lasted nearly 10 years! I expect the same results with these and after several weeks wear, am well satisfied.

    • Arch support issue.
Size: 9.5 Color: Beluga
I wore them for 20 minutes and felt that the arch support was too high, making me slightly uncomfortable. I don't have flat feet, and my arch is a bit higher than normal. I recommend testing them for at least half an hour before the return window expires.

I’ve had many Merrell shoes but first time buying the Moab 3. These ran but small for me. Were plenty wide but just a bit short compared to others I’ve purchased in the past. Hopefully they’ll stretch a bit.
