This is my second pair. I bought the first pair in 2015, and the sole finally started to separate from the upper. I bought the first pair at my local Bass Pro. They had this shoe in stock, for $145. Twice the price of Amazon for the same shoe. I read previous negative reviews about versions made in Bangladesh. I noticed the shoes at Bass Pro were made in Vietnam, and the pair I received were made in Bangladesh. Concerned they might be counterfeit, I called Merrell, and they confirmed they have a manufacturing plant in Bangladesh. I compared them very closely to my original pair, and could see no difference anywhere in the quality. The new pair do have substantially more arch support than my originals. Very happy with the shoes. Like my first pair, they were comfortable right out of the box.

As I get older it seems like my feet have changed a bit. Comfortable shoes are harder to find. These shoes seem to be better than the previous version (which I have owned and worn out, they lasted about 2 years a pair), more support, and are very comfortable for me. The waterproofing seems to work OK. For the cooler time of the year they are my favorite. The soles are very good on ice or slippery surfaces. Some hiking shoes are iffy for ice or slippery winter walking but the Merrell works well. Real bad ice still requires some sort of cleats but these are better than any other hiking shoes I have ever tried. A big plus this time of year.

I finally replaced a very old pair of Moabs with the Moab 3. My original boots were amazing. Lightweight, comfortable, and I frequently sloshed through streams even 15 years later and never got damp toes. After many years the leather portions started to degrade a bit (cosmetic only really) and the soles wore out. So I ordered a new pair. I highly recommend these. Great for most 3-season hiking and backpacking. If you stick mostly to trails, these boots will work great. If it is heavy duty mountaineering or off-trail boulder and scree slopes, you might want a heavier duty boot.

This boot is everything I want from a hiking boot! It is water resistant (not really a gore-tex full-fledged waterproof), high-quality material, and comfortable. The insulation level is good enough that I bring it to the ski resorts and I don't really have any problem with the cold for a limited time and cool enough for my summer hikes. Overall, I would highly suggest it!

At such a great price I was worried these wouldn't be authentic Merrell. They are. Inspected them to find they are in fact brand new and good quality. Have wore them every day for almost 3 weeks. Took a bit to break in but now they're super comfy as Merrell always are. So far no problems and holding up well. I work in them all day running a forklift, climbing in and out, walking a lot as well. A really good deal if these hold up for at least a few years like my last ones did. This pair was made in Vietnam.

Finally a shoe that feels so comfortable to walk in. Immediately elated as I set my feet down and stood up. Upon taking my first step, I knew the moab was the "mother of all boots." We tried these boots at well known sporting goods store. Found them cheaper on Amazon and ordered exactly what I tried on at the store. WOOOOOW!!! These boots are comfy straight out of the box. Light and great arch and ankle support. Went on a winter hike to a frozen waterfall. Even used my microspikes to finish the hike. My feet were warm and dry. They didn't feel tired or sore. I highly recommend these boots.

I bought these for my husband. We’ll be going on a getaway soon and willl be doing a lot of hiking. So far he’s says they are comfortable. But did say his foot slipped off the gas pedal a few times. He thinks it’s just a matter of getting used to how they grip. A lot different than his work boots. But so far he likes them.
