I am a big fan of this company. The boots they make hold up! The last pair I bought for my husband lasted over a year. He is very hard on his boots. He's a contractor and builds homes for a living. He's constantly up on a roof or climbing around something so he needs a comfortable boot that has great tread. When his other boots finally wore out I bought this pair. These shoes look good, well padded around your foot and that's all the good things there. First thing I dislike is how heavy they are compared to other shoes I had like the Salomon X Utra 3 and 4. Second and most annoying thing is because these shoes have a stiff insole/outsole and feel like my Timberland boots. I have some special insoles for such stiff shoes but those insoles didn't help. If you don't plan to walk for hours or if you can wear some Timberland boots all day long like I used to 20+ years ago, then you can handle these shoes fine; but for those 35+ years old BMI 26 or more like me, we don't want shoes that'll make our feet feel like on fire. I'll either go back to Salomon X Ultras who feel great but doesn't last long as it used to; or I'll go back to using trail shoes like the NB Hierro Vs. ... show more
