Top Amazon Reviews

  • Good for a basic tool kit
Size: Small Standard Bag
I bought this so I could put a starter tool kit together for a young family member. At the time, this was one of the least expensive tool bags on Amazon with good reviews. If you keep a couple of things in mind, this is worth buying. This isn't a Veto Pro Pac and it never will be. You're buying a bag that is less than $20, not $180+, so set your expectations accordingly. This is an ideal bag for an entry level tool kit, like the one that I put together. You won't spend very much on the bag so you can devote a little more money toward the contents. The one I put together held a socket set, hammer, screwdrivers, a couple of pliers, and a few other hand tools. Enough tools, in other words, to do some basic maintenance around the house or tackle some light repairs. This is also a nice tool bag for something application-specific. I have a similar bag that holds my PC repair tools. It has an Xcelite tool roll with screw/nut drivers, an interface cable so I can connect to both IDE and SATA hard drives, a bunch of interface cables/chargers, some bootable USB drives with repair tools, etc. This is my first line of defense when I have to repair or modify a computer and it has everything I need in one place so I can grab and go. This would also make a good bag for a vehicle emergency kit. It's large enough to hold a portable jump pack, a tire plug kit, a first aid kit, and maybe a bottle of water. Most people won't be inclined to change an alternator by the side of the road so you probably won't need much more than this. It will tuck out of the way in the trunk and keep things from scattering all over the place. Organization is OK. A couple of external pockets, a couple of internal pockets, and a black hole in the middle where you'll end up throwing most of your tools. The external pockets are open-topped and relatively wide so anything you put in them is prone to bouncing out and getting lost if the bag is jostled. The inside pockets are good for pliers, side cutters, flashlights, that kind of thing. Most other tools will be in the large center compartment so you'll end up rummaging around in there, but that's pretty much par for the course with small tool bags like this. It isn't large enough for anything to get really lost, and by the time you need better organization you'll probably have outgrown this thing. Over the years I've ended up with several work bags because I end up changing or upgrading my tool loadouts and the old bags no longer work for me. With an inexpensive bag like this, if you outgrow it you're not out much money. The one that I gifted hasn't seen much use so I can't comment on durability, but the quality looks fine. Way better than I expected for $20, and comparable to some of the entry-level Husky bags (of which I own 2). If I needed a small, inexpensive tool bag, I'd probably buy this again. It has a decent amount of organization, costs less than most of the tools you will put inside it, and seems to be well made. ... show more

  • Best value
Size: Small Standard Bag
Husband needed a go bag for his tractor... Perfect size for water, phone, glasses, keys, and room for hammer, screwdrivers, pruners, etc. Best value, good quality, been a month of almost daily use and it is holding up great.

  • Great little bag
Size: Small Standard Bag
Great bag for my need. Priced right too. Very durable, at least for what I use.

  • Great Quality and Spacious Tool Bag
Size: Large Standard Bag
I am thoroughly impressed with its quality and functionality. Here are the key points that stood out to me: Durable Construction: The bag is made from high-quality, wear-resistant material that feels sturdy and durable. It can handle the rigors of daily use without showing signs of wear and tear. Spacious Interior: The 16-inch size is perfect for carrying a wide range of tools. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I could fit inside – everything from wrenches and screwdrivers to power tools. Convenient Design: The bag features multiple pockets and compartments, which help keep my tools organized and easily accessible. There are pockets of various sizes, perfect for storing smaller items like screws, nails, and bits. Comfortable Strap: The included shoulder strap is well-padded and adjustable, making it comfortable to carry even when the bag is fully loaded. The handles are also reinforced and comfortable to grip. Stable Base: The wear-resistant base provides excellent stability, preventing the bag from tipping over even when it's packed with heavy tools. It also protects the bottom of the bag from dirt and moisture. Great Value: For the price, this tool bag offers excellent value. It’s a high-quality product that’s built to last and performs as well as more expensive brands. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Amazon Basics Durable Wear-Resistant Base, Tool Large Standard Bag with Strap, 16 Inch. ... show more

  • Very sturdy
Size: Large Standard Bag
This is a very good quality bag. The handles seem very durable, and the material is thick. It has a formed base, so that it doesn't collapse on itself when picking it up. I had to return it, because it was too small for my needs, but if I ever need a bag this size, I will definitely reorder.

  • I Recommend This Item
Size: Small Standard Bag
I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: I use this bag to carry tools from my shop to anyplace in my house or yard that I need to work. I used to try and grab everything in my hands, stuffing things into my pockets and even carrying supplies in my teeth to get to the spot I needed to work. But I found this top quality, heavy duty but smaller a sized tool bag and bought it. Now I can grab my Drill, my screws, my small level, my Awl, my pencil, and put them into this tool bag to walk to the repair spot. I Recommend. Good Luck. ... show more

  • Great tool bag.
Size: Large Standard Bag
Haven't had it very long but it seems good quality. I bought this to hold my guitar luthier and set up tools organized and together. The bag is made of some kind of canvas like material that I think will hold up fine for my purposes. There are six pockets on the inside and six more on the outside that can hold smaller items no bigger than an Altoids tin. the zipper is smooth and opens and closes well enough. So far, so good. ... show more

  • Feels cheap, zipper binds, flat
Size: Small Standard Bag
While I generally like Amazon Basics stuff, this one feels just cheap. Other tool bags I've used in the past hold it's shape, but this thing is flat. Also, the zipper binds, making it difficult to close the bag. Maybe these issues will resolve themselves with use, but I shouldn't have to work for my bag. ... show more
