Got size 12 based on Amazon recommendation. I usually get size 11 for my running shoes and trail runners which I've used for hiking as well. These seem super comfortable. I don't think my toes will ever get blisters again. Haven't hiked with them yet and will update the review after a few hikes. At this point, my only concern is they may become loose after they break in!!

These things are awesome. I've owned multiple iterations of the Moabs over the years. My first pair was put through the wringer. Hiking through mountains in New England, through the rainforest in Costa Rica (and im talking a whole lot of mud and rain), these things always hold up well. A quick rinse to clean and all is well. The only negative thing I've heard is to avoid any of the iterations without vibram soles. Vibrams hold up well, allegedly the others do not. Can't recommend these enough. These are my third pair, from moab 2 and moab 3.

I wanted to wait to write this, review until I'd worn these for a while, and I'm happy to say that I am just as pleased with them today as I was 16 months ago when i first got them. They are sturdy, comfortable, and I wear the all the time. I have other shoes, but my feet are not as stable in the others as they are in my Merrells. In fact, I'm going to buy a pair of Merrell walking shoes in black. They are true to fit, needed no breaking in, and I feel very stable in them.

They have a good length but are a bid wider than I like ( but my foot is about average but leans toward the narrow side ). Foot bed is very firm. Good for hiking but might need to always wear a heavier sock. Very good laces. I think that as I put more miles on them they are probably going to get more comfortable. Worth the money - IMO.

My husband has had these and wearing every other day or so up in our rural countryside home for 6 months. He walks up and down slopes etc and it's dusty/dirty but with that wear they're already separating the body of the shake from the sole...Our expectation of the Merrell brand we're obviously higher than the quality of the shoe. Have put in a warranty claim with Merrell. We shall see if they replace. ** Merrell state the seller on Amazon is not authorized so therefore the warranty is void!!! So thanks Merrell for nothing!!!
