  • Nothing Like Merrel Footwear!
Size: 10 Wide Color: Beluga
Merrell makes great shoes. The Vibram soles are durable and provideremarkabletraction. I have a pair that are similar, same type of sole, and they are over 10 years old. They last! Very well made shoes for hiking and urban street walking. The size 10 W(EE) gives you plenty of room. If you size up 1/2 size it's possible you may feel like they're too large unless you wear thicker hiking socks, then it's perfect. Comfortable without cramping your feet. If you wear athletic type running socks, in my opinion, too much room, not snug. My answer to all of this was to place another running shoe insole, or orthotic insert, on top of the Merrell insole, and it was a perfect fit for normal thickness athletic socks. You can have it both ways with socks of different thickness. The overall weight is heavy like a boot, but I think it should be for protection and durability. These are awesome shoes and they look great! If you haven't owned a pair of Merrell shoes, I think you will love this brand and shoe. ... show more

  • Great hiking shoes
Size: 12 Color: Granite
Great hiking shoes. Regular size fits wide feet, breathable and with awesome heel and arch support.

  • Good Shoe
Best and most comfortable everyday shoe that I've had. My only issue is with the round shoelace. It keeps coming untied.

  • These ARE NOT great out of the box.
I bought these because of the great luck I've had with the last pair of Merrells I bought nearly 8 years ago. Now THOSE were comfortable out of the box. Sanuks and Hey Dudes are comfortable out of the box... These are the OJ of footwear. The footbed is hard as a rock and the Vibram outer sole is stiff and not pliable. Wore them for a 4 hour half work day and thought I was gonna die. It took seemingly endless 2-3 hour stints to get them to the point they are today. They do get better. The only thing I could do to make them bearable was to switch the removable insoles with a set from a new pair of Hey Dudes. Remarkably the switch made both shoes better. I've now got about 40 or so hours of actually standing/walking time in them. They have softened up about 50% but still now what I'd consider a truly comfortable shoe. I wear mine on heavy rain days because unlike Sanuks and Hey Dudes, the chunky Vibram soles keep my feet dry above the parking lot puddles at work. They seem to breath well and have a roomy toe box. Excellent traction btw. Seems like a quality shoe, but whoever says they're comfortable out of the box either has nerve damage or feet made of steel. Either way just be prepared for a month long break in of an hour or two a day. ... show more

  • Comfortable, tough, long-lasting, rugged with great grip
These Merrells are great, I wear them all the time outdoors, in the country and city. I must have used up ten or twelve pairs of the shoes over the years and clocked thousands of miles in them, much of it across hard terrain out west. The Vibram soles are very good for climbing steep slickrock slopes and climbing up canyon walls. I wear the same Merrell hiking boots too. Comfortable, tough, rugged with great grip and they last a long time even with hard wear. ... show more

  • It is as good as my first pair.
It is as good as my first pair of the same shoes. I never understand why people rate shoes as good fit or bad fit. YOUR good fit may not be MY good fit. With that said, my size is 9EEE. This pair fits me great. When trying on fit, always get it slightly loose. On all day long hike, your foot expands and you will need an extra half size. My first pair of the same model is very good. I walked a lot and the bottom is worn out by my VERY HIGH MILEAGE USE. I wish they make the sole even more durable. The upper is still like new after 3-4 years. Not stitching is worn out. No glued parts peeling off. No material become frayed. UPDATE: Still using the first pair. Will continue to use until the bottom is all the way worn thru or the pebbles start to annoy me. Upper is still good. The NEW pair is slightly larger at the toes area. So product tolerance is noticed but only if you are as OCD as I am. I used the new pair on a long trip. Walked 12 miles everyday for 21 days. Every pair of shoes will have a hot spot if you use it long enough or frequent enough. Again normal product variance creates different hot spots even for same model shoes. This is no exception. No big deal. Just expect the rub spot to be somewhere else. I will recommend this product and will buy again. I heard that for hikers, quarter pound on your feet is equivalent to one pound on your shoulder. So, they go light weigh on shoes selection. This shoes is not heavy but certainly not light weight. ... show more

  • Good,tough, attractive
This is my fourth pair of the same sneakers I've had them for years The price is doubled, but they are good looking and tough. Many days I work on concrete all day long. It's nice to have good shoes for something like that.

  • Comfy & built to last
I have now owned these Merrell's (along with others) for several years. Still in good condition and I have used & abused them quite a bit. Good fit, support and the grip on rocks & trail is superb.
