Many years ago I bought a pair of Merrill shoes that I LOVED, and while they are really worn down, I still wear them when I just need to run out quick, or need something to throw on for a minute. I bought a new pair - the same style, but canvas upper instead of leather - which barely lasted a year... I was so disappointed!!! I was hesitant about ordering these, but needed a new pair of 'weather resistant' shoes for this winter - I live in Michigan, so they need to be warm, water resistant and have decent traction in icy conditions - so I decided to give them a try. Like I said in the headline, they are a bit more 'bulky' than I usually like to wear, but other than that I'm happy with them. Even through our 'Christmas week blizzard' last month, they did great - even when I had to go out and shovel my driveway! While I've accumulated a number of shoes over the years these are the ones wear the most. They slip on easily in the morning, the back of the shoes supports the slide in well if you take care of them. This is my 2nd pair of these, the 1st lasted for quite a long while. I love these shoes. They are super comfortable and provide great protection for the feet. Even do they are intended to be used on hiking I got them for working. I wore them for more than 10 straight hours and my feet were still comfortable. Something that didn’t happen with other shoes I have worn.

I bought these because they breath better than water proof shoes. My feet are not sticky and stinky when I take these off at the end of the day. They are comfortable and they grip well. I wear them for daily wear and for hiking.

I love these trail runners. I've used them for 2 thru hikes and I will use them again. I bought them initially because they are a wide size and finding them in 12 1/2 has my feeling less constricted. Good job Merrell

I have never had a better fitting and more comfortable shoe than the Merrell MOAB2. That's all I buy each year, for many years. I use the Waterproof in the winter and the Ventilator in the the other seasons. I use orthotics and just remove the insole cushion and the orthotics fit in fine and the shoe still fits great. This is my daily shoe that I wear all day long, and it's awesome! No complaints after many, many, pairs of these shoes. ... show more

    • Moabs are one of many Merrell shoe, walkers, boots. This one is beyond expectations.
Size: 9 Color: Brindle
This is my 5th or 6th set of Merrills. So with that said, the reader can see what I think about them. While not waterproof, they stand up to the rain nicely - there are waterproof Merrills. Dirty? Take out the shoe strings and throw them in the wash. They'll come out looking almost new. I have a foot that is a bit wide and these fit perfectly, but if your foot is narrow, don't be afraid to get these. Right now, I own three pairs: the one pictured here, one of the original Moab colors and one for working around the yard. I love the ones pictured here because they are a gorgeous light green. My wife can vouch for Merrills - man or woman, you can't go wrong with any one of the Merrill family of walkers, hikers. Merrills used to have a thin collar at the heel, and after a lot of wear, it would begin to tear. The new ones don't do that. If you're looking for a pair of walkers that look great on your feet, are comfortable and will last, get these. ... show more
