So cute and sturdy
Color: Earth
Size: 11 Big Kid
It took my son a few days to break them in. He said they hurt his feet, but once they broke in he enjoyed wearing them on several hikes. They look adorable, too!

Defect
Missing the backing to a rivet that holds the metal loop in place. Because I got them for a good deal on Black Friday I decided to fix it myself. Otherwise they seem like a great kid boot. We will test them on the trails soon.

Great hiking shoes for my feet
I have owned multiple pairs of Merrill products for many many years. They may not necessarily be the best hiking shoes around, but for me, and the way they fit well on my slightly wide and flat feet, they just rock. They last a long time and the waterproofing stays on for at least a couple of years. This by far exceeds my expectations as I live in the Pacific Northwest. So if you have feet like mine, then I highly recommend Merrell.

GREAT BOOT! but there is a weird knot on the tongue that is causing my son pain
Color: Earth
Size: 4.5 Big Kid
I have tried to cut the knot out and not damage the boot, but my son says it is still bothering him, this is his only complaint.

Great shoes
Color: Earth
Size: 6 Big Kid
My son needed size 6 hiking boots for his week at Boy Scout camp, which are a tough size to find instore. He tried on a pair of low top Merrell's at a local store and the fit was great, so I purchased these on Amazon. He wore them on a walk around the block before they got packed into his foot locker, and he wore them everyday at camp. He was excited that they were waterproof -- the last night of camp was a big rainstorm, complete with a Tornado warning (one touched down 20 miles from camp), so when they were able to return to their campsite from the shelter he was excited that his feet stayed dry through the puddles. Really happy with the purchase and will continue to buy Merrell's as he grows.

Not really x-wide
Nice shoes, I wish they fit. They're well made and attractive, but the wide width is a C at best. I returned these. The search for real extra wide waterproof hiking boots for women continues.

Great hiking shoes
Color: Earth
Size: 4 Big Kid
Ordered for my son and these boots kept his feet dry and cozy on the cold raining days. We did hike some easy trails in Northern Michigan and the weather was cold ans wet with rain. My son approved these boots.
