Warm and cozy - even better after a few washes

I read a ton of reviews before purchasing these, and decided to go for this set. Straight out of the package they were a little itchy (I have very sensitive skin), but following another reviewers advice I washed them three times with Woolite. After that they were so soft and comfy. I brought them on a recent trip to Alaska, and layered them under my rain pants and fleece each day and stayed warm, cozy, and dry even hiking in the rain or boating amid glaciers! The bonus socks I also love and am going to buy more of - they were surprisingly comfortable and warm and not too tight. I wore the base layers five days in a row without washing and they never smelled, got stretched out, or felt dirty. My only criticism is that the crotch to waistband is shorter than I like (hitting about two inches below my belly button) but otherwise they are great! I bought this base layer for my wife. I also have the mens. We absolutely love them.They fit great. They are comfortable,durable,and the pilling is minimal if you care for them properly.We have some very cold winters in Michigan and I have never been cold while wearing this under jeans and a good hoodie.It may seem like the price is high for a base layer,but in my opinion it is worth it. ... show more

Soft and comfortable. Fits well, true to size

So far so good. Very soft. The midweight feels pretty warm and cozy. The free socks are scratchy but it’s fine. I’m about to use these as my base layer for walking across England so I’ll be putting them to the test!

Great bang for your buck

After 1 year of use: My husband and myself each bought a set of these last year before a camping trip. We had been researching for hours about what brand to buy. Normally, we are big, smartwool fans, but for budget reasons, and after reading the reviews for these, we decided to go with these. We got the 320 weight. I am 5’ 7”, 160 lbs, size 8, and have a big butt. I got the medium and they fit good. If you were between sizes, I would definitely recommend sizing down because a large would’ve been way too big for me. If you are on a budget and looking for an affordable, well made, durable, non-shrinking, no odor, moisture wicking and comfortable set we highly recommend these. They have held up extremely well For multiple camping and hunting trips over the last year. I have washed them several times in mild detergent with cold water on a delicate cycle and air dried. They still look almost new. We went on one trip that was nearly 2 weeks long wearing these pretty much every day and by the end of it, they didn’t even stink! My only complaint might be the fit and layering ability. Other brands like smartwool, have a more smooth and seamless waistband and are more fitted than these pants. The top would layer good, but the bottoms wouldn’t layer well under tighter clothing. They also would not look good as standalone pants. The ankle openings kind of flare out and like I said the waistband is not flattering at all. But I mostly wear them layered under my overalls or bulky hunting pants. Also, If you need extreme warmth for well below freezing temperatures, you may want to consider another brand that has A higher weight option like 400+. These have been perfectly warm and fine for us because we are staying very active while wearing them, And layer them with plenty of other warm clothing. While camping in 20-30° weather, I wore these by themselves as pajamas and stayed perfectly toasty. If you will be in subzero temperatures, I would recommend a harder core more expensive brand. ... show more
