  • Fast delivery!
Size: 6.3 Pound (Pack of 1)
Good price, easy to order and be delivered to your door in the next day, as opposed to in-store shopping. What I find with this brand though is it gets crumbly. Like l need to sift it out before adding to cat's bowl.

  • An affordability consistent, complement to wet food
Size: 6.3 Pound (Pack of 1)
My cat usually eats wet food, certainly not by my choice, but he's old and any relationship involves give-and-take. I've always had a cat, and I always give them un-catlike names. My current cat, Ronnie, used to love eating dry food. In fact, we both loved it. But with age comes change. Every once in a while, for whatever reason, cats will expel their stomach content. It's an extra special gift they provide on those days you have to be elsewhere at a certain time. Oh yeah, the cat food. So Ronnie got old, his regurgitations became more frequent, so I made the jump to wet food as his main food, while always leaving a small bowl of dry food and fresh water nearby. His upchucks have lessened dramatically since. ... show more

  • Cats and Raccoons Like It
Size: 6.3 Pound (Pack of 1)
I'm changing to this brand because I feed 7 cats and 4-6 raccoons every day; I found I can get 30 pounds of Meow Mix for less than 20 pounds of the other brand I was using. I made sure my animals liked them equally. Bettie Cashion

  • Fancier and a feast..!!
Size: 6.3 Pound (Pack of 1)
My kitten just graduated to an adult Felis silvestris catus domesticus. Needless to say also graduated from Meow Mix Kitten to Meow Mix Indoor Health. That’s what I call fancy. My cat is having a feast..!!

  • Still a great dry food, but at an irresistible price.
Size: 14.2 Pound (Pack of 1)
This heavily-promoted dry mix, made by Del Monte foods, was once pitched as a "premium" cat food, or as "the only food cats ask for my name." Five years ago I even recall buying it in smaller, box-size quantities because the price was higher than most of the other dry cat foods on the supermarket shelf. To be able to buy it in the 14+ pound bag at the basement Prime price is practically an irresistible purchase to multiple cat owners who: 1. want to contain expenses of maintaining their pets in good health; and 2. have all they can handle in their weekly shopping trips with the weight of heavy bags of litter added to their groceries. So why not take advantage of Amazon's offer to lighten your load both financially and physically)? I'm not aware of any change in the formula of the mix (the ingredients reveal a healthy balance of protein, greens, and fiber), and though my cats seem to have no objections to it, of late I've noticed that my finicky felines are finishing a bowl of Purina Cat Chow ahead of Meow Mix. So what might a buyer make of consumer reviews claiming that Meow Mix harmed, even robbed, their precious cat of its health? (Reminds me of the time I put my six hamsters on a diet of generic food from K-Mart and, in short order, observed them lose virtually all of their fur. When I switched back to Hartz Hamster Food, they promptly regained their fur coats. But worse, when I brought the unused portion of the "toxic" generic brand back to K-Mart, the manager said: "So what do you want? A refund?"" I made a special point of never revisiting that pet department.) The only potential problem with this apparent "deal" concerns "time relevancy." I hadn't counted on the size of the package, which came in a box that must have outweighed my last flat-screen TV or desktop computer ordered from Amazon. A bag this large may work well for 3 cats, but not 2 or, certainly 1. Over time the food, especially if stored in overly humid conditions, will acquire mold that can definitely harm an animal forced to eat it (given a choice, cats will invariably choose NOT to eat the unhealthy, molding product). In other words, if you have only one product, you may be well advised to spend more for less, or for a smaller amount of food. If the present quantity and price is too hard to resist, even though you have only a single cat, be sure to set out one or two "options" in addition to the Meow Mix (e.g., another brand of dry as well as some form of "wet" cat food). Your fastidious feline friend will thank you for your thoughtfulness--and don't surprised if she asks for more of the pictured brand by name. ... show more
