For under $60 you can't beat this set. Great for beginners. The glockenspeil itself is sturdily built and plays in tune (as much as any glock does!). Moreover, you get a stand, case, drum practice pad, and a set of drum sticks and mallets for the glock -- more "stuff" than I was expecting. The mallets are a little cheesy, but they'll get you started, and you can always upgrade later on. My one complaint is the case. For some reason, they made it to unzip at the \narrow\ end, rather than the wide end. This makes it a bit of a pain to get the bells in and out, since the unzipped opening is narrower than the wide end of the glock. But hey ... for $60, I'll deal with it.

Have snare drum for home practice. Bought this glockenspiel to expand home practice for my middle school percussionist. Nice sound & quality for the price. Sturdy adjustable stand. Nice carry/storage bag. Drum pad, sticks and mallets are an added bonus but of expected quality. Don’t really get the top insertable stand - if just for mallets could be shorter, if intended for music should angle back and away from the instrument rather than vertical to it. Using separate music stand purchased elsewhere years ago. Otherwise, I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

I bought 2 of these for less than the price it would have cost me to rent them for school band. They are just like the other kids' kits, except they are in a backpack style rather than rolling. My kids are ok with carrying them though. Good quality for the price and perfect for a beginner.

I bought this bell kit for my little one, who needed it for band practice. The teacher suggested some kits that were well outside of my budget, so I opted to buy this kit, and was I pleasantly surprised. These have been used every day since we've got them, and they are holding up very well, still sound great and the stands have been screwed in and out a ton of times, and it still feels like day one. If you're on a budget and need a decent bell kit that won't break the bank, I would definitely recommend this one.

This was a great quality item for a 6th grade starter kit! Exactly what they wanted me to rent through the school for well over the price I paid for it here. Great construction, heavy duty and all around good quality. The bag is great quality, along with the instrument itself. The practice pad is quiet, just as it needs to be for beat practice in class. The easy set up and break down of the bells is perfect.

This works great for a newer music student. Our band teacher recommended we buy this and I’m glad he did. The carrying case is great for my son to bring this back and forth to school. Glad we were able to buy vs rent the entire year.
