Bought this for my son for a snowboarding trip with friends. Having lived in Alaska for a time, I am pretty picky with actual, good winter coats. For Virginia, this coast did great. Kept him nice and warm and more importantly DRY! That is so important when out on the slopes or hiking. He loved the fact that it has a zipper pocket inside the jacket breast that was big enough for his phone and WALLET so he didn't have to worry about losing them. Highly recommend as this is a good, sturdy, well built jacket for the price. * He is 6'1'' and 200lbs (Firefighter build with broad shoulders) and the large fit well. This jacket doesn’t appear very warm, but my husband says it is. On the coldest days (0 windchill) he wears a sweatshirt underneath and says he stays plenty warm. I bought it one size larger for room for layering. I think it is a good value for the money. It seems durable and waterproof.

This coat is a great buy, great quality for a fantastic prize. Mine is size XL, and that is what I ordered according to their size chart and it is a great fit for me. It is not a heavy winter coat and is listed as a Mountain Ski Jacket. I just used it on a trip to photograph scenery and wildlife in cold weather with snow on the ground. We started out with -10 F temperatures and it warmed up to about 10 degrees F is all. So it is a good coat. The only issue I have with it is that the zipper seems cheap.
