Just received our new car seat and I have to say I’m very impressed with the look and quality of this product. The craftsmanship and details are excellent, side foam dense and sturdy, interior orthopedic cushion nice and comfy for long car rides, beautiful fabric inside and out, belts/connectors well made and the little “paw” blanket a sweet addition. It only took 20 minutes for it to take its full form (I’m at 4200’) from the compressed packaging, which was also well done. This seat fits perfectly in the front seat of my Chevy Tahoe. Holy cow, this a FANTASTIC car seat for my 2 Yorki-Poos!! I hafto ride in the back with them, bc my small YP (15lbs) gets quite anxious in the car, and I CANNOT get him to calm down, so I typically put him on my lap and try to calm him down with my warmth & his blankey, and ends up climbing all over me, and accidentally scratching me - I HATE GOING ON TRIPS! My bigger YP (20lbs) has zero anxiety issues. THIS BED TRANSFORMED MY ANXIETY RIDDLED puppy and my life in the car w/them!!!! I can put both puppies inside the car seat, as it's shaped & built like a rectangular dog bed, and strap them in w/the attached 2 clips (I think the car seat has very good safety straps, and it's easy to buckle in), and as usual, my bigger puppy was perfectly fine; then we put in my small puppy in, and at first he was scared as usual, but calmed down IMMEDIATELY since his brother was right by his side. The car seat is big enough they can each lay down, and the sides are cushioned very well, so they just lay their sweet little heads down and enjoy the soft ride. The sides have pockets, the fabric is very soft, and the bottom is well padded and helps them to sit up a bit higher (which tiny puppies need, or they vomit all over!) I ordered this to replace one that was uncomfortable for my dog. I was concerned at first by the packaging but it took shape pretty quickly. This size was very hard to find. I wanted one that fit in the front seat, but was big enough for a 27 pound dog. The one I had in there before was uncomfortable for her and she refused to lay down. She would sit in the car and salivate the whole time. Most seats meant for the front of the car are only 19 inches wide and are so puffy that the inside is only really about 12 inches; whereas, ones for the back are generally at least 28 inches wide and wouldn’t fit in the front. This is the only one I could find that was somewhere in between. If it was just 1 inch smaller then it would fit perfectly but my dog loves this. She got in the car and almost immediately laid down. The only thing I wish was different is the strap that goes around the headrest is way too long. It was completely tightened, but still too long. Since I’m putting it on a bucket seat, I was able to wrap it around the back of the seat instead of just the headrest, which works. I have no idea why it’s so long considering I have an SUV and can’t imagine any cars are much taller in the seat. Otherwise, really happy with this. It was expensive, but worth it. ... show more
