I ordered this blooming gel because I wanted to try my hand at marble nails and I was struggling to get the effect I was going for by trying to do it completely free hand. After pouring over numerous reviews of various blooming gels, I decided on the MelodySusie and I don't regret my decision at all. It's super easy to use, apply a nice coat and then take whatever color(s) of gel polish you want to use and apply a small amount in various areas I like to use a short fine liner brush or one of my dotting tools to apply my gel polishes, and then after you apply the colors you intend to use you wait a couple minutes and when you have the look you're going for cure it under your curing lamp. You can also move and manipulate your colors if you need to before you cure it, but the blooming gel pretty much does most of the work. I also found that it works really well with my shell thread gels as well when I attempted a rose quartz style set. After you cure it then you just have to apply your top coat and cure once more and you're good to go. A little bit goes a long way, it is a thinner gel so that the colors can move and disperse more freely so just a heads up on that. ... show more

This was my very first time using blooming gel polish so I wanted to leave a review for others who may have never used it before. It was surprisingly intimidating, I’ll admit BUT, it was also surprisingly easy to use! It’s thick but I didn’t know any streaks or stickiness after it was cured. No awful smell (nothing worse than regular polish, anyway) and the bottle is really attractive (I’m a sucker for nice polish bottles. Polish was good quality. To use.. I just put my regular base layer then the blooming gel and then little dots of whatever colors I wanted. I did wave my hand around a little to get it to marble because it was the only way I knew how (I’ll watch more tutorials to learn other techniques!) but, I think it turned out cute!
