This is a solid box frame that took less than 30 minutes to assemble. I have a foam mattress in my guest room (I'll never get one of THOSE again) and this gets the bed low enough for my 13-year-old boxer to jump on and off of the bed with ease. Further, having the lowered bed is easier for any humans sitting on it and makes the room feel less crowed. I like the fact that it comes with a wrench to assemble the metal frame and that the slats are made of real wood -- not MDF or some sort of moulded urethane. I never realized what a difference a box spring or bunkie board could make under your mattress. We've kept the same old box spring for years -through 3 mattresses. We were about to buy a new mattress and decided to do this first to lower the bed for my wife. That mattress is now so comfortable that we're keeping it for the foreseeable future. With its own metal frame, this is a sturdy product once put together. Yeah, I'd like to talk to their engineers about assembly - one small change that would cost them $0 would make this easier on your knuckles. But, once together, it's very sturdy. There are some non-slip pieces on top of the wood that are supposed to stop your mattress from sliding around. I was skeptical but they work! I had trouble getting my mattress into place because of these - I had to lift it into its proper place. Now that it's there, that mattress isn't going anywhere. ... show more

Fits full size platform perfectly. Set up was easy. This is the second one I purchased. The first from another company measured 74x53x1.5 and was slightly bigger. And did not settle in. This one fits into the recessed space over the older wood slates at 73.8x53x1.6

My son has an ikea bed and the foundation support kept breaking. So decided to buy this and fit it inside the frame of the bed. It fit perfectly!! So much sturdier than the the cheap ikea boards. Ikea uses two rows of boards for a full size bed and it's just not sturdy. This uses long boards for a full size bed. This is a much better option. Got this to prevent a foldable bed from sinking in the middle and tilting forward when getting out of the bed. I was aware before purchasing the metal slats that it won’t fit neatly into the frame of the foldable bed. So I tied down (tightly) the metal slat to the bed frame with simple household twine. Very easy and took less than 20 minutes to make several ties. Now — the mattress (7-inch memory foam) no longer shifts or sinks. And I was able to sleep better. ... show more

I ordered two bunkie boards for a set of bunk beds i was making. I used them in conjunction with this companies bed frame. They were perfect for my application, well built and easy to assemble. However, one bunkie board was missing one cross piece. I contacted the company and they asked for a proof of purchase. It's a DOY project so with the time I took I no longer have a proof of purchase After an exchange of at least five emails I offered to buy a cross piece from them and they told me they don't have spare parts laying around. (They should have one cross piece) I am told to contact Amazon as that is where I purchased the product. I'm done with fooling around, I will make the missing cross piece myself.
