  • GET IT! (work around for the noise. Read below)
Awesome! Loved it within 5 mins of opening the box. Really powerful, tons of attachments for all kinds of different uses. Yes, its VERY loud on high with any attachments on the blower end. It has a very high volume of air that is being sucked in and the sound resonates to make a very high pitched, quite abrasive sound. I found a bit of a work around for that and will post pictures. Basically, you take off the regular back end cap and replace it with the fitting for deflation. You can actually "unscrew" the black hose from the fittings that are attached to it and either just use the cone shaped fitting with no hose attached or you can let the hose dangle if you done wanna take it apart. It makes a pretty dramatic difference in the noise and doesn't seem to make any difference in blowing power since the outlet on the front is not any bigger. When blowing against my arm, it still displaced the same amount of skin and hair. Its at least not enough to be noticeable. I may end up trying out some different filter foam to create some kind of diffuser but for now the deflator fitting works. Diffusing (or "breaking up") the incoming air changes the resonant frequency and can dramatically decrease all kinds of fan and blower noise and if don't properly, will not reduce air flow, just change its path a little. Another review, I think, said something about the plastic feeling cheap but I don't get that impression at all. I own many brands of professional power tools including dewalt, makita, and milwaukee and while this one seems to have a bit different "finish" to the plastic, it feels like a very solid tool. Ever since makita came out with a blower that is basically the same thing in their LXT line, I wanted it bad but they want something like $200 for their bare tool and I was just not willing to pay that for something like this. When I saw this one for this price, I jumped on it immediately since I also run many of the dewalt 20v max tools and have several batteries. Now for my only gripes, other than the noise thing, and they are pretty small and not even worth deducting a full star... maybe like half a star. 1. Needing to depress the trigger lock out switch every time for a non dangerous tool is a bit of a dumb design. It should have been a locking slide switch instead of a spring loaded "momentary " switch. That way it could be locked to throw in a bag or something and not have the trigger get pulled while bouncing around and activate the tool. Again, even if it did, it's not like its a tool with a blade or something potentially dangerous. Still, I was able to quickly adapt and work around it. There are ways to disable the lockout levers if one desires. 2. The batteries are pretty stiff and at least one of the types I have, the "compact" series 4ah (those are the flatter wider types) is so tight I probably won't use them. The XR packs are also a bit tight but workable. This will likely lossen up a bit with use or the rails can probably be lightly sanded or even use a bit of silicone grease but it still bares mentioning. 3. A true variable speed trigger with the three different speed levels would have been cooler to me than just the three fixed speeds and an on/off type trigger. Still highly usable though so not a huge deal. 4. And lastly, for me, a belt clip would have been nice to include. It has the slots for it so I may end up doing an after market one. Thats it folks. I don't do reviews that much but I was really excited about this little tool to replace the stupid and costly canned air in the house or when I'm not close to a compressor and I think it will do the job wonderfully. For the price compared to others on the market, it was a no brainer for me, especially considering, I don't think the makita version comes with nearly as many attachments. Don't quote me on that though. Go GET IT! ... show more

  • Super inflator...easy to use
This thing blows. :) It absolutely will accept the DeWalt batteries. The batteries fit real snug. You'll have to tap/hammer the battery into place. I tap on the counter or floor a few times to get it seated. You'll also have to do the same to remove the battery. I've been using this on the boat to inflate/deflate small tube floats while anchored. Pool style floats. As others have said, it definitely is loud. The trigger lock is irritating and unnecessary. But, I manage. There is no speed control. It's either full blow, or off. Would be nice to be able to have some speed control but otherwise, its fine. My BIGGEST and only legit thumbs down is the deflate attachment. It doesn't lock or click in place. Yes, it has these two little tabs on the mount which slide in the back of the pump and turn. But it doesn't lock in...it'll turn back freely and off it comes. It'll disconnect from the pump while I'm getting the nozzle into the tube. That is the biggest irritation. I'd still get it again tho. I can manage. Definitely better than trying to blow these floats up! ... show more

  • This thing blows!
I have the makita blower but wanted one to keep at home so I can keep the makita in the truck for work. I have a lot of dewalt tools and didn't want to spend another $180 on another makita plus $70 for all the attachments so this knockoff one for dewalt batteries is perfect. Yes it's cheaply made but it's also cheap so if you want top quality then you better pay up. For the price it far exceeded my expectations. Plus it comes with the attachments that makita sells separately. It's a bit louder and a bit less powerful, but not by much. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for this type of tool in this price range. If you want one to abuse at work everyday for years then maybe get the original. I use it for blowing off tools, clearing anchor holes before installing concrete anchors, dusting blinds at vacant jobs, etc. It's not a leaf blower though lol. And to the reviewer that didn't know what the start/power botton does, it selects 1 of 3 power levels. But I always keep it on max. Cheap, blows, dewalt batteries, would buy again. ... show more

  • Convenient but questionable durability
Not as powerful as a corded one but portability makes up for that. The only thing is that mine makes a worrying clicking noise as it winds down, like something is binding up inside, so I'm not sure how long it will last. If it dies prematurely I'll be sure to update this review.

  • This is awsome
I bought this to use to dust off my tools at the end of the day because I have gone completely pneumatic free but it's so powerful that I use it else where.

  • Plan to return it because don't think it will last
Runs super loud. Vibrates a lot. Seems to work too hard and I have zero faith that itwill last a long time. Might last a year I suppose but I want better quality.
