Easy installation and definitely better than just a mattress on the bed frame. I added a 4" foam mattress and can still feel the metal frame, but it is not bad, and once I'm on the mattress, all is well and comfortable.

This helps my sleeper sofa. The mattress on the regular frame part would sag and be really noisy. This helped with that. Works fine for my sleeper sofa. It's been in daily use for over a month and seems to be holding up fine.

This support board was very easy to install, folds up with the sofa mattress, and makes a HUGE difference in the sofa mattress' comfort. It's sturdy, well-made, and lightweight. You can't beat it for the price. The first night sleeping on the sofa mattress with this support board was like night and day. It felt like a normal, supportive mattress, which is not what sofa mattresses are known for.

Velcro Doesn't Hold and It Constantly Shifts Item: Meliusly Sleeper Sofa Support Board Queen Size (54x64) Verified Purchase I bought this support board hoping to finally fix the notorious "sag" of our queen sleeper sofa and block that awful metal bar in the middle. The marketing claims it "permanently installs" and "folds with the frame" using Velcro, which sounded like the perfect hands-off solution. It is not. It’s a total waste of money. 1. Useless Velcro & Constant Slipping The entire design relies on Velcro to keep the board anchored to the sleeper mechanism. Unfortunately, the Velcro provided is incredibly cheap and weak. It completely fails to hold. Every single time someone sits down or moves on the bed, the board slips and slides out of place, eventually bunching up or sliding down toward the foot of the bed. You will spend more time fighting with it and repositioning it than actually enjoying any support. 2. Flimsy Wood & Minimal Support Even when you do manage to get it in place for a brief moment, the "wood" panels are far too thin and flimsy to offer any real structural integrity. Instead of bridging the gap and shielding you from the under-mattress bar, it just bows right over it. It barely improves the comfort of the mattress at all. 3. Annoying to Fold Because the Velcro doesn't hold it securely in position, trying to fold the bed back up into the couch is a frustrating chore. The board shifts out of alignment as you lift the frame, getting caught in the mechanisms and requiring you to constantly tuck it in manually. Final Verdict: Don't bother with this. If the fasteners don't hold the board in place, the product can't do its job. Save your money and look for a support board with actual heavy-duty straps or a better mounting system.

It helped this old sagging sofa bed firm up about 80%. I can still feel the center brace of the frame but not enough to bother me anymore. If I added a new mattress it probly be 100% but for now it helps alot. Id suggest giving it a try.
