My sofa is about 10 years old, but its so comfy. The cushions are starting to loose their stiffness and the springs are just not working at full capacity. It took forever to get the product, but when they showed up I was so happy! The actual product is well made and it definitely makes a difference, it doesn't feel like your sinking into the sofa anymore. I bought 2 extra long/wide support boards, they have about 3 inches left, and so it doesn't cover the opening all the way, but it is better than what we had before. The boards just give it that extra support I wish the springs had. They are super easy to install, anyone can do it! Make sure you measure really well so you know what your getting before it arrives.

This product is absolutely amazing. I have a 4 year old couch that needed some love. My sister suggested getting one of these products. I am shocked at how well it works and gives the couch much needed support. I would but it again.

On the first week of use, we did notice a slight improvement in the firmness of our couch, but by the second week, the support was not as noticeable. I'm wondering if a second layer of the Meliusly couch support might work better in the long run--as the slats are not very thick at all. That said, it's actually very well-made, with each slat sewn carefully into heavy duty material that is connected to the other slats, so that it unfolds like an accordion. We bought the 24" one and it fits well from back of couch to front. It is, however, about 2" too short on both ends, so it should really be about 4" longer to cover a 3-cushion couch. But, the -2" on either side doesn't really impact the overall effect. Each slat, ideally, should be 2-3 times thicker, to offer more support. If you're expecting to get the same kind of support that you would get from a new couch after putting this in place, that isn't going to happen, at least, not for long. You might just need a new couch (which is what we're thinking).

The thin planks bend almost as much as the springs when I push down on them. Granted under a cushion it should be 3-4 planks supporting one cushion so it should flex less than pushing down on one plank. Where you should use this: * an old sofa where some springs are getting soft from age * there are gaps in the spring base that seat cushions are sagging into Where you shouldn't use this: * you want the feeling of sitting on a wooden bench * you don't want to hear any bending sounds when dropping onto a sofa -1 star because one of the planks is already bulged out a little
