the proper way of replacing an AC compressor is measuring the amount of PAG oil in the bad AC compressor and making sure the exact same amount of PAG oil is in the new compressor. this compressor is prefilled from factory but was overfilled for my system, of course the amount of oil will vary on alot of things, other than that it is a good product ... show more

It's been a 1year and 3 months since it's been in and has failed. Just in time for summer in NC. I waited a long time to fix my original 2005 chevy avalanche compressor. Went through 2 central Texas summers before I finally broke down and bought this new one. I had a local garage in Madisonvile, TX put it in. Worked great for some time. It did great last year after moving to the NC coast. The clutch no longer engages. It spins and will cycle on for a few seconds but you never see it click and the clutch never sucks in. It's fully charged. It's just a nightmare for me thinking I'm going another long humid NC summer without AC after just a short year with it. Now I have to pay for a new one and pay to have it put on. Just not the quality I expected. ... show more

Perfect fit replacement for my 2002 yukon xl, and not a totally cheapo brand. I ended up pouring out about 4oz of oil that came with it and replaced it with about 4oz of PAG46. AC now works better than it ever has.

It fit perfectly in my 2005 5.3L vortec GMC Yukon XL. And it works just fine. Only confusion was the need to add more PAG46 oil. Comes precharged with 8 oz. How much more to add you ask?!? Great question. I had no clue and couldn't find an answer. Perused the internet and found common answer of 11 oz. If you have rear A/C which means you have the overhead selection for rear cooling. ... show more

This compressor was junk it started squeeking as soon as I put it on and was very loud. Please refund me or send another. I updated this review 1 month later as I realized it was the belt squeeking not the compressor. Compressor is good.
