I would love to give this item 5 stars. My granddaughter was over-the-moon to receive it, and make her own personalized fleece tie blanket. I have been making her fleece tie blankets since she was born, and she's always loved them. She and her mother sat down with the kit while her younger sisters were napping. She chose a pattern, and her mother helped to show her how to line up the squares to get her desired results. She spent 2.5 hours tying each row together only to get to the very last row to find out that two squares were missing from the kit. She'd worked so very hard on the blanket that I didn't want her to have to return the entire thing, and start all over again. Thankfully, customer service understood my plight, and corrected the issue. They even shipped the replacements directly to my daughter's address as she lives 2 hours away. Unfortunately, my granddaughter has not yet gotten to finish her blanket yet because they are a blended family, and she had to go and spend time with her biological father and his family. She will get to finish her blanket possibly this weekend.

We had purchased the first version for our daughter who was five years old at the time. Might be a little challenging for that age, but the eight-year-old that we purchased a gift for the second time around, it was just right. Both girls had a fabulous time making it and the results are great. Can’t go wrong, since it’s no sew and you can make corrections. Super beautiful finished product. Something they can be proud of and utilize for years. I have not yet washed ours, since it’s more of a throw blanket, so I can’t give a comment on how it washes. It has worn beautifully though.

Bought this for my 6 year old during quarantine and also to keep her busy while I’m busy with a newborn. I started the project with her, just to get her organized and show her a time or two, and she stayed busy on this for an entire rest of day by herself. She was quick to pick it back up a few weeks later (with my encouragement) and then again about a week after that to finish it, and I sat and helped her finish it. It is definitely a craft for days, although it could probably be done in a day by maybe an older and very focused child. Either way, an easy craft, and my child took so much pride in her work as it was coming together. Highly recommend for the crafty and reasonably focused children or if a parent/older sibling is willing to sit and assist!

Got these for Christmas (2020) for my girls (8yo & 4yo) and they love snuggling up in front of the fireplace with their blankets. It's soft and warm, the colors are beautifully vibrant, the overall size is decent, and it comes with various patterns to choose from. I bought 2 different designs so they knew which one was theirs. Took maybe a couple of hours to finish - depends on if you can do it without stopping or if you have help, but it's easy enough either way. Over time some of the knots did loosen a bit from constant use so I've had to tighten them again which was fine. Makes a great gift.

This makes a super cute blanket, however, if this is your child's first attempt at this type of blanket its not the easiest to learn. The knots are something kids this age quickly learn. The tricky part is keeping the tabs all lined up, its a lot of tabs to keep track of! My kids used to make the simple fleece blanket that you just tied all the way around and that was an easier introduction to this type of craft I think. As long as there is a grown up nearby and a desire to complete the project it is worth the effort. We bought this and have been casually picking away at it so that eventually it will be done before winter. High quality as usual, I like this brand.
