I am a super picky hat guy, I have a small head and on top of that its shaved. Most hats are designed for people with hair so there's a lot of excess airspace above my head typically. This hat while it comes in Small still has the same height profile as a regular hat. So while it fits my head perfect in circumference it still a bit too tall for my head to fill the front of the hat. It could be just how they style their hats since the front of the hat has a pocket on the inside. If my head did fill this space I image I couldn't use the pocket. While I have these gripes so to say, I am actually super happy with it. The side profile of the hat is perfect and while the front is tall for my liking it doesn't come off bad. I did try the Melin Odyssey before the A Game and It was a little too point for my preference but its a good cross between a typical trucker and a baseball cap. As for the quality, its the best I have ever seen. I go through hats every 4-6 months. After a while of washing them from sweat from the South Texas heat or the salt of the beach they break down very quickly. I look forward to seeing how this handles its but I haven't seen anything with this type of fabric and thickness of material and typically the only hat that handles sweat stains are hiking hats that are designed to get wet. Still those tend get wrinkles and begin to lose their form. Overall I am loving the hat, the fit, the quality. Maybe a few months from now I'll come back and append my review with whatever arises but right now I am thinking I will be a life long Melin hat wearer from now on. TLDR; -Amazing quality -Good for small bald heads -A little taller than a typical baseball hat or dad hat -I am gonna buy more ... show more

I really like the hat and the overall quality of it. My only problem is that I went by the sizing chart and looked at the fitted hats I have. The sizing chart was not the same as the hats I normally wear. The hat was a little big and I chose the classic fit. I wear a fitted hat 7 3/8- 7 1/2. I have the snap in the last position.     • Great Cap With Two Fatal Flaws

These really are thoughtfully designed and beautifully constructed caps. The color was awesome. I can see why so many people love them. Sadly, though, I had to return mine due to the inexplicable inclusion of an insignia/thumbhold on the underside of the brim. When wearing the cap, my eye was continuously drawn to the thumbhold (which is raised a few millimeters). Not only was this distracting, it literally gave me a headache and made the cap unwearable for me. I know that this has been a problem for others, as well, to the point that many choose to remove the thumbhold (leaving an ugly mark on the underside of the brim). The inclusion of this "feature" seems to me to be a "solution searching for a problem" (does anyone really worry about a thumb sweat stain beneath their brim from taking off their cap?) that actually ruins the cap. I'd suggest it be deleted. The second flaw is that the brim is too small. For adults with normal to large heads, it simply doesn't do the job shading the face as it is too narrow. For a smaller person or perhaps a female, this is probably actually a great fit, but for me and my average male head and face, it is far too narrow. ... show more

Bought as a gift for my husband as we love all-inclusives. This is the perfect light-weight hat that’s waterproof. He mentioned today that it also works great because the bill allows room for sunglasses.

Amazon is not following the sellers wishes and they are shipping in bags. This is messing the hat up. Logos EVERYWHERE including under your brim in eye sight. Also, the sides where the brim meets the hat push out and look kinda odd. Performance wise I’m thinking this hat is going to be hot. The material is thick. It’s ok and may last a long time but I’ll be buying a cheaper hat 4 times before I buy this one again. ... show more

In its early days Melin used to make one hat size that fit most people. Now they make 3 hat sizes that don’t fit anyone. Everyone I know who was in love with OG Melin hats are returning these new ones because all of them are too tall/deep, and sizing options are all in between that they should be.
