I wanted to try this out for my camera, but my camera/lens combo was just a little bit too large. So, I'm now using it to carry the necessary tools I need in my Can-Am UTV instead and it's the perfect size for that. The case is nice and thick, not cheap and flimsy like some other ones I've tried. I would compare it to Pelican cases in relativity to craftsmanship and material quality. I've had it strapped to my UTV in the harsh Arizona desert trails and also at the Glamis Sand Dunes and It's worked very well keeping dirt and moisture out. There's nothing bad I can say about this case, it's very good. I would recommend it.

I'm a commercial photographer and my back up drone was just in a crappy carry bag. I wanted something more secure for it and figured this would do the trick. I own multiple larger hard cases from Pelican for most of my cameras, lenses & lighting. So when I saw this I figured it was the perfect size for my little backup drone. Overall the quality isn't bad but definitely not quite on par with my other hard cases. The seal isn't a solid o-ring leaving the potential for dust and water to get in. Some of the edges and the handle look sloppy and not a finished look. But it's still functional for most day to day tasks. The latches have a release on them which is nice and they operate smoothly. The pluck foam is standard and easy to work with. They provide 2 layers of pluck foam with a solid thin cushion layer at the bottom giving you good options for customization. If they took an extra few minutes to polish some of the obvious aesthetic flaws on the exterior of the case and used a continuous seal I'd definitely give it 5 stars. It's a bit pricey to have easily fixable issues like that. In the end, it's a decently solid case that's good enough for day to day bumps and splashes. However, I wouldn't depend on it for anything overly aggressive or if you needed true waterproof protection for anything more than a few seconds.

These are on par with a gator or other well known brand cases like this. I feel confident hauling around my sensitive equipment that it could withstand just about any kind of punishment besides something so extreme that nothing else would survive it either (aka, its not bulletproof). Latches work smooth and its overall a great case.

This meijia case goes up against the Pelican 1450 lineup, both having 16"x13" dimensions- except: this costs 1/3 less, and this Meijia is ~.75lb heavier. It's water resistant (haven't tried out to see if it's waterproof as it claims), and has padlock areas for security. I've had getting a case on my to-do list for many years now so this is my first actual one. It feels rugged sturdy and secure - I was confused though how to carve out space for my camera + lenses in here because the pluck foam isn't centered vertically or horizontally with even number of rows.. meaning the equipment sits closer to one edge of the case and further from the other. I also wish they had a guide of how much space you need between the edge of case and the pluck foam area you want to store something in.

I will trust this case to carry $4000 in high-end Camera lenses safely, so that takes much faith in a non-Pelican case. I considered testing by loading the case with bananas and tossing it into the Gorilla exhibit at the Zoo; however, after my spouse reminded me of the potential for liability and committing several felonies, that test was removed from the schedule. I decided to test using several Extra-Large eggs from the Supermarket; cage-free eggs were selected to prevent running a fowl (pun intended) of any stray animal rights groups. My IMPACT testing strategy: 1. Cut enough center foam to insert two Extra-Large eggs placed 4" apart. 2. Set up my giant A-Frame ladder on the front lawn to provide elevation; it's one of those monster 18ft professional painter types. 3. With the Case in hand, I climb to the top of the ladder despite the warning label that says, "Use two hands." 4. I dropped the case from a height of 18 feet onto a grass surface frozen rock hard in the middle of winter. I considered using the driveway but wanted to scratch the case. 5. I opened the case expecting sunny side up, but was please to find BOTH eggs completely intact!. TEST 2: Water! 1. Cut enough foam to fit in 1/2 ream of computer paper 2. Seal Case 3. Placed in a running shower for 30 minutes 4. Opened case........ALL PAPER DRY ! With both tests completed, I feel confident loading it with my overpriced camera lenses. The ONLY negative was the gawd-awful smell when it first arrived. The PET plastic was still off-gassing from the manufacturing process. Be prepared to store the case in the garage or a back patio for at least three to four days; once it airs out, the smell will disappear.

I wanted a large, heavy duty weather proof case to transport a variety of electronic items during our frequent road trips. This case did the trick nicely. The shell of the case seems heavy duty while the case itself is still very light. The double locking mechanisms work well and won't open by mistake. The inside has significant soft foam to protect whatever is inside. You'll need to some pre planning to shape the compartments you make with the foam if you want it to approximate custom shapes for your gear. That also means that you should be sure of what you are storing in this before shaping the foam. Deducted one star as this is pricier than several other similar options that look very similar in their listings.
