Just like everyone else yes I should wax the boat more often than I do. Typically I get it done once a year. I used to use a 3M product but I can't locate that one any more so I tried this out. It works exactly as you would expect it to. I apply it by hand and then use a buffing wheel to remove it. It worked exactly as you work expect in terms of easy to apply and easy to remove and the end result I was impressed with. After buffing out my gelcoat RV with Mequiar's One Step Compound, I then applied their Marine/RV One Step Cleaner Wax. It is an easy to apply cleaner wax. I applied it with a 6" pad on an orbital buffer, filling in by hand for tight areas. After it hardened (ten minutes) I buffed it with a microfiber cloth. I used about 1/2 of a bottle on my small 20' rig, but it had not been waxed or worked on in 10 years. The two Meguiar's products, the buffing compound and the cleaner wax are the perfect combination for restoring or maintaining an RV. ... show more

    • Didn't work well on my project but support was awesome!

I used this on a older boat that had a decent looking clear coat. Once I used the the cleaner wax and buffed until my arm was wore out, I was left with a haze on the boat. Support stated the the clear coat must be contaminated and that I would need to use a Oxidation remover first then polish then wax to get it to shine again. I haven't tried it yet to see I can get the shine back but for the next person, Beware, using this product might make it look worse then you started with if the clear coat isn't up to par. ... show more
