I'll give this ca se a 5 star rating because it is a well-designed and manufactured case that fits the camera well and provides the protection I wanted. The one drawback noted by other reviewers is that the two snaps holding the front cover on are easily un-snapped, making it impossible to take a picture without totally removing the front. My workaround is to use the front for protection in transit, but remove and stow it when taking pictures. ... show more

Fantastic camera case - like the kind that used to come with high end cameras 50 years ago. I love that you can flip the cover to shoot and not remove the camera from the case. I can keep the camera at the ready while hiking, etc. and not worry about knocking it. I use it on a Lumix dmc ZS60, and it fits great. And if you wanna go wild, it comes in some great colors. I chose the dark brown because it reminded me of an old Nikon rangefinder that my parents bought in Japan in the mid-fifties. ... show more

I have to agree with other reviews that the cover portion does not stay snapped when you're trying to take a photo. I find that taking it off completely and stowing it in my bag is necessary when I'm out and about taking photos. I WILL SAY that when all snapped together, this case is great for protecting the camera, top to bottom, side to side with its thick molded leather. I chose red cause I tend to misplace things, and you can't miss this! The bottom "trap door" is fantastic for getting at the battery/SD card compartment for quick changes. And though I don't use my tripod often the only other issue is that the piece that's supposed to remain on the camera for quick connection with the tripod ends up causing problems with the trap door. So now that I'm aware, I just have to be mindful of when I might to switch something out, and whether I'll need the tripod in my travels that day. Otherwise that piece stays with the tripod until I know I'll need it. I really, really like this case, enough that I'm not going to shop for another one anytime soon. Only if the designers are reading this, now you know how to improve it. Thank you for a finely thought-out product! ... show more

I like the case to protect the camera while still leaving it ready to shoot. Thought it was just a little pricey but it is leather so it’s worth it. The top snaps off so if you are not worried about banging the camera against something, you can just take the top piece off and leave the bottom attached to the camera and neck strap. There’s a bolt on the bottom that connects the camera to the bottom piece, and the camera case strap. I connected my regular strap to the camera because I think it’s more secure to do it that way, this was a good purchase and is really the only non-slip in case available that I could find. This is a perfect fit for the Panasonic camera, even down to the detail of a notch to make the tilt viewer accessible. The base screws into the tripod adapter but also allows it to be attached to a tripod. The port, battery, and SD card are fully accessible without removing the base. The cover snaps on the bottom in two separate places, so that it can hang or be removed. I even like the neck strap although it needs rings to attach the strap to the camera. ... show more

The design looks nice, but it's not as useful as I hoped it would be. The cover over the lens is bulky and in the way, so I detached it and really haven't used it since. Also, the strap material is too slick and works its way out of the double-looped holder, so the straps don't stay securely connected and came off (and the camera dropped) twice while on vacation. Lastly, the camera carries at a very awkward angle with this case. Instead of hanging nice and flat against my body -- the grommets holding the strap turn, so the camera hangs "out" (at a 90-degree angle from my chest) making it really awkward when you're on the move. ... show more

Weight of camera and where the shoulder/neck strap hooks onto case causes camera to flip sideways all of the time or upside down. When un-snapping the front of the cover to take a picture, the entire front piece comes off - so it's best to just remove the front of the cover if you have the camera around your neck, and only use the front cover when transporting the camera or when its not in use. Quality of leather and fit is great. An almost awesome case. I can live with the front portion of the case coming off easily... but the shoulder strap hooks need to be higher up on the sides to prevent the camera from 'flipping' all of the time. ... show more

I have a lot of nostalgia for the leather cases people used to get for rangefinder 35mm cameras. This is a nice replica. I bought a returned, "like new" case. It was significantly cheaper than a new one. It came in a plastic bag but it looks like new. No scuffs, scratches, or other signs of wear. This is not like something you'd expect from Hermes or Louis Vuitton. It's not a work of art but it's well made and looks sturdy. Now I have a camera with an ever ready case. I'm happier than something like that should make me. ... show more
