I received my book and fell immediately & hopelessly in love! I am a huge fan of Wes Anderson, but truly one wouldn't need to be to enjoy the beauty of these photos. Wally Koval has compiled a collection of stunning photographs, from so many talented artists, showcasing some of the loveliest and quirkiest locations across the globe. I also find myself really enjoying the insets and travel guide-esque info on each location as it provides additional context that adds so much to the photo. Paging thru this book, I have enjoyed every part ... it has brought me a lot of joy and I will absolutely cherish it for years to come. What an awesome read! It’s a great balance of well-researched information and beautiful pictures. Everything is organized by geography, and I think it’s nicely split with how much focus in devoted to each section of the world. It’s really easy for big Instagram accounts and influences to churn out quick, easy merch that sells well but has little substance — this is the exact opposite. It’s clear how much time, thought, and care that Wally and Amanda put into creating a solid product that honors their brand, honors the stories and places featured, and honors the photographers that have contributed their work. I had originally bought this book to essentially cut up for my collage art. The pictures and stories were so striking, I bought one more to keep (and not cut up) and another one for a gift. The pictures are beautiful but the history and stories behind them and well written and give you a relationship with the photo. Just incredible, very happy with this purchase :) ... show more

I have been a fan of the @accidentallywesanderson Instagram account for a few years, so when I learned a book was in the works I ordered a few copies as gifts for the design-lovers in my life. The books have started to arrive (along with my own copy) and it knocked my socks off! I knew that the images that "made the cut" would be stellar. What surprised me was the insightful, witty text that accompanies each photo. INCREDIBLE. The stories are well-researched and much more in-depth than what is on the daily Instagram account. It's wayyyy more than a "pretty coffee table book", though it is that too :) This is the best gift under $50, hands down. I'll be exploring and coming back to this one regularly. I still have 6 more sections to read and I'm enthralled. Kudos to everyone involved. P.S. I am updating this review after seeing a mention about losing images in the middle of the binding. I disagree that this is a problem. This book has special lay-flat binding. You just need to... open the book the full way ;) Added some photos of 2-page spreads so you can see. ... show more
