The fact that Mechanix makes quality stuff is virtually unquestionable. The only thing to consider is for what purpose. For this model, I can say that they are quite comfortable in hot weather, but not for harsh conditions. They are better suited for training without heavy impact. Otherwise, they won't last long. When these gloves first became popular among people who need gloves for work, they were a great deal for the price. Now they’re just another $22 glove. Fatter fingers scream lower quality control. You end up with less dexterity in your fingers. Just spend an extra $20 and get pig gloves, or if you get the oakley service discount, theirs are $40-$45 as well. They will be more durable, and offer a higher quality fabric as well as superior dexterity. These woodlands fit like gardener gloves and I have man hands, the previous versions with black palms were much better. But if you’ve only got a dub and need some gloves, these sure are some gloves. 4 stars because they’re still a good price and you can use a phone with them, if those are your chief concerns. ... show more

I will be using these for airsoft. I am rating them solely on how they feel I haven’t used them in the field yet. They feel great, for great, and are super comfy. It’s convenient they can be washed as well which is nice. They seem super solid so far.

These may be slightly pricier gloves, but they're worth it in my opinion. The key to any tools or equipment, is to use them in the manner they're designed for. Understanding this, these gloves should last you a good long time, even with high wear and tear. The touchscreen functionality works beautiful, and I've done extensive testing of these for watching instructional videos, or reading a how-to, when working on my car. It has good water resistance (Resistance does not imply immunity, rather that it won't get easily soaked, but that it most certainly can with prolonged exposure or submersion). I highly recommend these gloves for standard protection purposes. Obstacles, mechanic work, sports, etc. I do not recommend using these gloves for oil, other chemical handling/use, nor for cutting or applications that could cause punctures or high friction (aka a sander or grinder which could eat through the fabric). I also do not recommend them for cold weather, nor electrical work. They are not insulated, and therefore, not designed for that. I would say to view other gloves sold by Mechanix if you're needing a pair for a job that is shown in my not recommended list above. ... show more

Even though they can break down pretty fast working in retail, I also kind of expect that from the materials. They're cheap, comfortable and warm.

I am hard on my work gloves and that is why I only by the Mechanix Wear brand. These gloves didnt have the protection on the top of the fingers like most of mine have and the leather was a little thinner on these. They are great for warm weather but caution, rose thorns go right threw into your hand. I did use these when working a small gas engine and I was able to use all my tools and even pick up screws with these on. I guess I need to learn to use the right gloves for the job. ... show more
