I was fortunate to pick these up on sale for a $ I couldn't pass. I trust the Mechanix brand. Been using them for auto work and tactical work for years. Protects from sharp metal, hot metal, minor chemical spills. It's been so long, my old gloves size tag and markings are all worn off. So I had to use the size chart (5.75" finger length). Fits larger than I expected. Still works though. M would have been snug, L leaves a little wiggle room. I have not tested if it works with smart phones. I got tired of the seams ripping out in weeks on cheaply made, but not cheap gloves from big box stores. I found these and gave them a try. I love these gloves. They provide great dexterity, and all fingers work on my smart phone. This is actually a backup for a pair I got about six months ago. They get wet with sweat and/or mud and they dry out and fit as good as ever. They have been used and abused and one finger is just now starting to wear out a little. Always been a huge fan of Mechanix gloves. They came in sooner than expected, by a day. The right size. The right style and color. I bought these specifically to wear when I'm riding my motorcycle. I've not used them a whole bunch, and usually they are the last thing I do before I take off on my bike, first thing I take off when I'm done riding. I have practically LIVED in these gloves for the past 25 years, cars, shooting, working, playing. They're durable enough. They're flexible enough. They're cheap enough. They just do the job, every job, they're INCREDIBLY versatile. Sure there are specialty gloves that do certain tasks better, but if you need a pair of gloves that can do EVERYTHING then you cannot go wrong with the basic original Mechanix gloves. Plus you can get them in new tacticool flavors which is fantastic. Protip, when you wear out the fingertips after the first 9-12 months just cut off all the fingers right below the middle finger knuckle and run them as fingerless gloves for another few years. Eventually you'll throw them away because after a few summers they have some SERIOUS funk to them. You'll definitely get your money's worth from them though. ... show more
